2023 BOOKINGS COMING SOON Welcome to Hawklee Cottage. Our charming, cozy, comfortable and well maintained four season cottage is located near Crowe's Landing on gorgeous Stoney Lake, gem of the Kawarthas. Quiet and tranquil area surrounded by woodland and delightful places to explore. Stoney Lake boasts excellent fishing with Muskie, Walleye, Largemouth & Smallmouth bass and Perch some of which can be caught right off the dock. Roughly 3hrs west of Ottawa and 1.5hrs northeast of Toronto. Very easy to access on a short cottage road. Our cottage sits right at the waters edge and has beautiful long lake views of the islands. Facing north at the deepest part of the lake, morning sunrises and evening sunsets enjoyed on expansive and large new decks. Two large docks have plenty of room for multiple boat docking, shallow water entry as well. Very short walk to Crowe's Landing where the Lake Association pavilion has a variety of summer activities for all ages. Walk to the Stoney Lake Market which offers excellent dining with large outdoor patio and a selection of fresh vegetables/ meat items. Great to go for an ice cream on hot summer days.
The beautiful view, waterfront and quiet tranquillity are not the only features that make our Kawartha cottage an outstanding choice for your vacation. The cozy and comfortable accommodation will welcome your family for a wonderful spring, summer or fall vacation, and the attractive village of Lakefield is only a 15 minute drive away.
The local area abounds with places to see and things to do. Take a look at the Warsaw Caves and Conservation Area; drive out to Petroglyphs Provincial Park with gorgeous walking trails, the largest known concentrations of Indigenous rock carvings in Canada & beautiful McGinnis Lake, or wander around the arts and crafts stores in Lakefield. | Another blissful trip to Hawklee! Our family of 7 adults and two little kids (3yo and 4mo) had such a wonderful trip - we're already counting down the days to next summer. The cottage is cozy and clean with plenty of bedrooms, many wonderful amenities (A/C, dishwasher, laundry, water toys, good wifi, etc), and a gorgeous view of Stoney Lake. The waterfront is perfect for swimming, kayaking, boating, and just floating around. Frank is a lovely host and checked in by phone to make sure we had what we needed. I truly can't recommend Hawklee enough!

| Perfectly appointed. Our family had a wonderful stay. The layout was perfect for our two small kids, plenty of space for everyone and lots of room to spread out. The depth of the lake right off the dock was kid-friendly, as were all the floaties and kayaks. We'll definitely be back next summer.

| We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawklee cottage. Nice clean cottage with all the amenities. beautiful view, lawn for outdoor games, a lot of decks, excellent docking facilities on a beautiful lake. Nice boat house with water toys. Enjoyed our family vacation there.

| We had another wonderful stay at the Hawklee cottage this year! The cottage was clean and well maintained, the photos are an accurate reflection of the cottage. All the decks make for lots of space and incredible views of the lake. There are lots of toys - kayaks, canoe, floaties - and the kids spent lots of time fishing off the end of the dock catching sunfish every few minutes! The kitchen is well stocked, the layout of the cottage is great for an extended family staying. The swimming area is great for little kids. Sandy bottom with a few rocks. It is shallow to start and then slowly drops off. Honestly, this is the best cottage we have stayed at. Thanks Frank!
