| We loved our weekend stay at this cottage. Great outdoor space for the kids to play and explore. The cottage itself has more than ample sleeping space for our family. And a great kitchen and dining space for all day snacking and entertainment. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to next years staycation love supporting local community.
There was a crazy amount of snow during our New Year's visit, but Rebecca made sure the driveway and steps were well cleared and safe for everyone. The kids just loved playing in the snow great core memories achieved with our stay.

| We have been renting this cottage for the last 4 years and always had good experience
It is spacious, clean, well maintained, also in a quiet area but reasonal proximity to walks in Awenda Park
One time, couple years ago, there was a small issue and landlord had someone show up within an hour, so I am very pleased with quick and efficient response
There's always sufficient supply of cutlery, toilet paper, dishware and so on, so I can recommend Marshmallow Shores with a full confidence

| The reason I am giving the place a poor review is because the pictures are not what you will get when you arrive. Inside the cottage it was nice with plenty of space for sleeping. However, the outside amenities were misleading based on pictures. The deck is very old and has tons of water build up from years of no maintenance. Sadly, the wood is rotted in many places that even a good power wash won't save it. The upper deck is very small. The second reason for the lower review is because the hill going down to the water is VERY steep than the picture let on. From the angel of the images, it looks like it is a gradual decline to the water, as well as the "steps" that appear in the picture look to be in good shape. This was also not the case when we got there. The Steps were sunken in and more of a climb from step to step. The third and final reason for the poor review is because the pictures of the waterfront you see in the post look NOTHING like what it is in reality. The nicely cared for beach area with the water infrastructure with gradual entry for "kids" is nonexistent. It was hard for us adults to get out of the lake as it was a big drop from the "so called sandy beach" into the water with NO steps into the water.
Positive items: the water is beautiful and very clean and clear.
The lay out of the house with the bed arrangements is great, however the kitchen is on the smaller side
Laundry, dishwasher, drinkable water and linens = positive

We enjoyed a weekend stay here in June and had such a blast. It's super clean and comfortable and has many different areas to relax in to suite everyone's taste. The beds are comfy, kitchen has everything you may need and outside, surrounded by tall trees, there's a large deck looking out over the lake which was great for dining outside.
The lake is clean and it was actually warm!
This was a quiet place to stay that felt rejuvenating and perfect for a family getaway.
Can't wait to go back! Thanks for an excellent stay!

| Farlain Lake is definitely a hidden gem and Rebecca's cottage is the perfect place to enjoy it from. Three generations of our family got together for the week and the cottage accommodated us perfectly. Lots of sleeping room and fully equipped kitchen. We had a great time! Thanks Rebecca
