Waterfront

Fully renovated to the studs in 2018 and new to the rental market. Clean and modern cottage / chalet, equipped with everything you need!

This pet friendly cottage has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a 2 piece, private washroom. The second bedroom has a single-over-double bunk bed and an amazing view through a sliding patio door that leads to the deck and overlooks the water. The third bedroom is a single-over-single bunk bed.

The main washroom is a 3 piece with a spacious stand-up shower.

The 'great room' is an open concept, vaulted ceiling area that contains the L shaped kitchen, dining area that can seat 9 and living area with a 39" TV, electric fireplace and sofa-bed (equivalent of a double bed).

This property has your own waterfront on River Philip with east and west views so you have an amazing sunrise and sunset view each day. The cottage experiences all the changes of the tides and the sea life that goes with it; seals, eagles, pick mussels right off the beach for your dinner!

The cottage is on a quiet dead-end lane with only 9 other homes/cottages and there is a very large yard for the kids to play. The lane is slow and safe for the kids to explore on one of the bikes we provide. Beautiful Heather Beach Provincial Park is minutes away, many other beaches, golf courses and other beautiful locations in NS, NB and PEI are all easily reached with a day-trip.

Just down the road is a boat launch and beach area where seals and eagles hang out. The cottage is walking/biking distance to a lobster pound, restaurants and the best ice cream shop for miles! Travel 8 minutes to Pugwash for groceries, the farmer's market, bakeries, etc.

First time renting a cottage. We enjoyed many years of camping, however, our camping days are over, so what a better way to still enjoy everything we once did, with the family and friends we love, but still have all the necessites of home. The cottage allowed us plenty of room so that we could entertain in style and enjoy our family and friends. My mother was the happiest I have seen her in a long time. Living in a seniors resident, she had been wanting " the camping experience" she had when we were young. She was able to enjoy BBQ'S, seafood, camp fires and relaxing on a deck with the water view. Not to mention having her family around. The cottage was so well equipped that she even had appropriate lobster tools. Mom lost her cane prior to coming but no worries as she made use of the walking stick.... We referred to her as Moses. My father joined us for an afternoon. I could see the smiles in their eyes as they relived our family get togethers. Colton, my 7 year old grandson, had a blast making everlasting memories. Kids and adults took advantage of the bikes, water shoes, wagon, bikes and games. From running in the mud to swimming in the near by beaches, there was never a dull moment. Full active days lead to quiet evenings at the bonfire where smores and hotdogs became late night snacks. The sunsets, sunrises, changing of the tides were amazing. We take for granted the beauty in our own backyard. The owners are accommodating and quick with responses.
Definitely a Jem !

Hi Sandra, we are very grateful for your lovely review and for sharing so many of your photos with us on the Facebook page. It was lovely to see you and your family having such a great time at our Grey cottage. We would love to have you back again!

My family and I spent a wonderful week in the grey cottage at the end of June 2019. We were immediately impressed with the layout and all the very modern and functional design details. It was instantly obvious the Rebekah and Will put alot of effort into ensuring the cottage was filled with anything and everything you would need for a cottage getaway. Highlights- having the beautiful Northumberland Strait in your backyard. Watching the tide go in and out and the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. Watching the pod of around 15 seals that live, play and hang out just down the road. All the movies and board games the cottage was stocked with. Having a 3 yrs old and a 12 yrs old, some of the best memories made were just by spending quality family time together in a beautiful cottage in a great location. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

We decided to take our parents to this beautiful location for their 50th Anniversary, and I have to say it was well worth it. The owners have done a beautiful job providing a well equipped and stunning location. They have really put alot if thought into what you might need to enjoy your stay and they have exceeded! We will definately consider returning for another vacation.

Thank you for the kind words, Kim! We are very happy to have been a part of your family's special weekend. Please feel free to join us again soon.

My wife and i spent the weekend at the Grey cottage in the middle of September of this year. I can Honestly say that I have never had a more relaxing weekend than the one we spent there. It was so peaceful and quiet it was hard to think of anything else. The cottage itself was immaculate and very well stocked for what ever we needed and more. Internet was available but honestly never had much use for it. Time spent in the evening by the fire, listening to the ducks fly up and down the channel was the stuff only found in movies, or so i thought. The cottage was very easy to find and very close to just about anything you would need. My wife and I would 100% visit the area and stay at this cottage in the future.
