We are making it easy for you to pack for your Island vacation: Bring your food and beach towels. We will take care of the rest!! Fully serviced 3 bedroom cottage - King, Queen, and 2 Twin Beds. Fully equipped kitchen (yes, we have a coffee maker and filters!), 42" flat screen TV with satellite, DVD player, Apple TV, wireless internet, full bath +outside shower, sun room, washer/ dryer, fire pit, BBQ. A 1 minute drive will take you to one of PEI's most beautiful beaches, Thunder Cove. "Darnley Greens" is a 9 hole-par 3 golf course located just through the woods in our back yard.
"Andi's Place" is located within a 25 minute drive of Cavendish and Summerside, 15 minutes to Kensington, and 1 hour to Charlottetown. Enjoy numerous activities including deep sea fishing in Malpeque or New London, golfing, tourist attractions, weekend markets, shopping, lobster suppers, entertainment including live theatres at Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside, dinner theatres at Brothers 2 in Summerside, Ceilidhs and out door concerts.
Several years ago, we took our young family to PEI for the Labour Day Weekend. After this first brief stay, we found ourselves drawn back to the Island again and again. Over the next 17 years, we rented a cottage from the wonderful Pendergast family, just minutes away from "Andi's Golden Getaway". We still return to this serene vacation destination every summer, each time eagerly anticipating the Island hospitality and peaceful surroundings.
The roar of the breaking waves of the Gulf of St. Lawrence never fails to lure us down to the beach at Thunder Cove where we breathe in the salt air and enjoy leisurely walks down the endless sandy beach. Local residents we meet along the way take great pleasure in reminding us that this is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of PEI, boasting sunsets you will treasure in your memory for years to come. Before and after the summer season, we often take the 3 hour drive from our home in New Brunswick, and find ourselves alone on the soothing sands of "our" beach at Thunder Cove.
We wanted to make sure we provide the comforts we always looked for when renting a cottage. Comfortable beds is always a top priority. We thought a king size bed along with a queen would give it that "Ahhh" effect; two comfy twin beds in the third room finishes it off nicely. The spacious open kitchen and living room allows for a "Maritime Kitchen Party" at its best! Pick up your new PEI potatoes and produce at the stands along the road - then stop in to one of the local fish markets to put together a meal to remember!
The outside shower is perfect for washing away the sand from a long, leisurely day in the sun at Thunder Cove. Sneak away to the quiet, closed-off sun room to read your favourite book, or step out onto the deck to witness the breathtaking sunset as the day slowly winds down. Enjoy roasting marshmallows and making your homemade "S'mores" as you sit by the fire pit in the evenings.
We know how difficult it can be to find a cottage when you have a dog, so we want to make it easy for you - bring your dog along. We are confident that, like us, we will be renting to responsible pet owners who will take care of our cottage. Take your dog to Thunder Cove Beach where leashed pets are welcome. You can also take a walk to the Darnley Basin down in front of our cottage - not a "beach" but a fun spot to take children and pets to explore down by the ocean.

| This was the most beautiful stay I could have imagined. All of the amenities of home (and then some), fantastic directions to the beach and other activities in the area. Mary has provided an absolutely 5 star experience in this little piece of heaven in Darnley!

| Beautiful modern decor,very serene area. Got to the cottage the day Hurricane Mathew hit and almost didn't make it over the bridge. The beach is fantastic for combing and enjoying the salt air. Beds were extremely comfortable!! The cottage came with absolutely everything you would need or want! Can't wait to go back!! Price was amazing for what it offers. Loved it!

| Had a fantastic week, and this cottage is superb. Up to date major appliances (incl programmable coffee maker), awesome firepit, and great bedrooms each with a fan and ceiling fan.
Close to great beaches, and took in some golf and mini putt right in the backyard!
Mary does a great job of having information available and tips for the cottage. Cannot say enough nice things about the cottage or it's proprietor :)
