Welcome to the unique Woodcarver's Studio, a clean, bright, hand crafted cabin nestled in the woods, surrounded by a semi-active farm with friendly goats. Enjoy your privacy knowing you are only a 4 minute stroll to the breathtaking Lake Huron and sandy beach, and a short 10 minute drive to everything Kincardine has to offer. This one bedroom cabin with queen bed features a 3-piece bathroom, a double pull out sofa bed, a kitchen area, and in the off season enjoy the wood stove (and electric baseboards) to keep you warm and cozy for those cooler evenings. If you desire the outdoors and a beautiful setting, there's a barbeque area with raised deck and picnic table as well as a large fire pit* to enjoy and socialize around. The cabin includes refrigerator/ freezer, cooktop, microwave, toaster, dishes, cutlery, Wi-Fi, satellite and a 42" Smart TV. There is also a large enclosed porch, a perfect place to curl up with a good book and enjoy your morning coffee while listening to the birds sing.
THINGS TO BRING: 1 roll of toilet paper/paper towel will be provided per booking. Bring more if you think you'll need more. A dish cloth and dish soap will also be provided. Bed linens, towels/beach towels, other paper products, kitchen towels and toiletries are NOT provided.
SIDE NOTE The cabin is on the local municipal water supply, as well as on a septic system. For safe drinking water, Britta filters are provided. We like to maintain an eco friendly lifestyle which includes composting all vegetable matter on site, along with organic farming. The cabin is also cleaned using a non-chemical system to reduce allergies and sensitivities for guests.
* Due to a local bylaw, firewood may not be bought in from any other municipality, but is available to purchase on site for $25/wheelbarrow, or you can buy some at the local General stores.
We also have custom made live edge tables, benches and other wood items are for sale (made on site).
LASTLY, ABOUT KINCARDINE: Kincardine, already known for its amazing sunsets, also has much to offer with many restaurants, live theatre, festivals, concerns, and golf courses. Stores in town include Sobeys, No Frills, Shopper's Drug Mart, LCBO and the Beer Store. In this small town with a Scottish heritage, during the summer month, the famous Kincardine Pipe Bank Parade is a Saturday night tradition that starts at 8 PM sharp, rain or shine. You can also catch the lone piper play up top of the lighthouse as the sun sets, and on the Friday nights of every long weekend, a car show running the length of downtown. So much to see and do!
Thank you for considering a stay at our cabin. I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you may have.
Many thanks, Wayne

| We had a wonderful stay at the Woodcarver's Cabin on Wayne's farm. The cabin was clean and well stocked and oh so beautiful with all the wood and stone. The goats, llamas and chickens were always entertaining and there was so much nature around. We were often visited by birds and chipmunks while we enjoyed dinner on the back deck.
It's a short walk down to the gorgeous (nearly private) beach on Lake Huron where we spent a lot of time walking, swimming and watching the stunning sunsets until dark. Then a safe walk back up the driveway watching the bats and stars with no light pollution to hinder our view. It was the perfect, peaceful nature retreat. Although, it is a working farm, so sometimes there may be tractor sounds, but Wayne tries to coordinate it for when most people would be at the beach.
Wayne was prompt to respond to inquiries and provided us with what we needed. We also had some great conversations....a very multi-talented man. Would definitely go back. Thanks Wayne for providing a great personal nature retreat space in your cabin in the woods.

| The cabin is a gem, tucked into the forest. It's a wonderful 5 min walk past the goats and llama to Lake Huron, a beautiful beach that is terrific for walking along or just sitting and watching the sunset. Wayne is a lovely host, responsive and considerate of his guest's privacy. We did a lot of exploring and Bruce County has a lot of wonderful towns and gorgeous scenery. We hope to return one day to sit outside the cabin listening to the birds and just enjoying the peace and quiet.

| This cottage was amazing. Thank you Wayne for the beautiful getaway. We had a great time there at the cottage you would definitely come here because of the beautiful sunset and the rabbits and you would even see the goats and the llama. This is the hidden gem that you should come to every year. This review was written by a 9 yr old girl on behalf of the family.

| A lovely cottage nestled in the woods on an organic farm. We loved the quiet seclusion. Also, a lovely beach was just at the end of the farm lane. Well kept and appointed cabin. Nice to cycle along the beach front road and Kincardine is picturesque community with all amenities. A wonderful stay overall. Thanks, Wayne for your kindness.

| We had a wonderful week at the cabin. It is a really quiet place in the wood and so close to the beach. The 4 minutes walk to go to the beach is enjoyable due to all the farm animals on the way. The beach is surprinsigly quiet and beautiful. The water is a clear blue and we had so much fun with our tubes in the waves. We did a day trip to the Bruce Peninsula National Park and it was completely worth it. The owner is friendly and helpful. We would absolutely come back! Thank you Wayne!
