Welcome to 1058 Riding Trail, Minden Hills. This fully renovated from top to bottom luxury cottage features stunning slate flooring throughout, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a massive outdoor deck perfect for spending your lazy summer days on the lake.

Cottage is on filtered well water and features a gorgeous custom slate shower perfect to washing off after a long day playing in the lake.

Cedar lake is a small private lake with only 8 cottages on the one side, perfect for paddle activities and a great fishing lake with large mouth and rainbow trout. Very rarely will you see a motorized boat on this lake!

Water typically warms up early in the year and you have great swimming right off the end of the dock with a clay/sand bottom sometimes there is a small amount of sediment on the bottom that can be kicked up but this is normally cleared very early in the season.

New in 2019 the cottage is electric vehicle ready with a 14-50 (50AMP charging plug installed)

Loved our stay at this cottage! The cottage was clean and well organized. Kitchen is well stocked and linens provided which was very appreciated. The water was warm and lovely to swim in. It is a bit shallow at the dock, but if you swim out a little bit it gets deeper (if you have young children the shallow water is lovely!). The owner recently added a ladder to the dock and it was appreciated. Water is pretty much weed free. And be prepared to meet some turtles, very exciting to see! Good fishing as well (we never came back without catching something).

Minden is a lovely town with lots to do. Cottage is close to Minden (about 20 minutes away) for the convenience of picking up supplies.

The owner promptly responded to my one million questions and was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay at a cottage.

Thanks Jennifer, glad you enjoyed your stay!

We had a very enjoyable time at this cottage. The comfy and practical outdoor seating was great. Ate every meal outside! Loved the flooring, lofty ceiling in common area, Kitchen well equipped and stocked. Lovely spacious shower with the stone work - high shower was awesome for tall guy! Great water pressure. Glad not to have to bring linens and bedding with us.
Appreciated having laundry facilities and made it easier for us to help at the end of our stay. Great having the canoe and life jackets. We are two adult couples and had plenty of room. The desk was very handy for the poor soul who had a little office work to do on vacation. Overlooking the lake helped! The tv was stocked with loads of movies for that one witching hour in the evening when mosquitoes were out. Then we were back outside, under the stars. We were the only people on the lake from Monday to Friday so very private!
Devin promptly answered my million questions so I could make an educated decision quickly. This cottage is highly recommended!

Thank you for your review, so happy you enjoyed your vacation on the lake!

Great place to relax! Very clean and well stocked. Owners are great! We had one small glitch when the power went out in the area for two hours. However, Devin was on top of it right away and kept us well informed. Highly recommended for people who want downtime.

A wonderful time was had by all at this well-appointed cottage. The cottage is CLEAN, well-stocked, and has all the amenities, including a dishwasher and W/D. Everything inside is new and renovated, and it felt like a home away from home.
The property is surrounded by trees (private, but bring bug spray), and backs right onto a lake. The lake was WARM in early July. The dock gets sun pretty much from morning until dinner time.
Opposite the lake is Crown Land, so you're looking out into wilderness. We used the supplied canoe for trips around the lake, and were serenaded by a family of loons at dusk and dawn. There was no ladder from the water up to the dock. The water is shallow, but I'm short, and so is my 10 y/o son - so you need arm strength to get you up and out of the water. The bottom is sandy/clay, but if you don't like that, you can easily swim in deeper waters a little further out from the dock. The water was clean, warm and beautiful.
I can't say enough about the area. It's close to both Minden and Haliburton with cute shops, restaurants, bike paths, and areas to explore. Plus the groceries and fixings you need while on vacation. We highly recommend the Victoria Rail Trail for a really cool biking adventure suitable for all ages.
We really enjoyed this cottage and the surrounding areas. Thank you, Devin!

Stunning cottage on beautiful, quiet lake. Easy to get to and in an excellent location. Best cottage we've stayed at - we were very impressed with both the inside and outside area. It's very private, clean, spacious and comfortable for five adults. Would highly recommend it and would definitely rent again.
