| Love, love, love this cottage. My family and I visited in early October and we were all so impressed. First thing- the photos do not do justice to how beautiful the cottage and scenery truly is. Absolutely stunning, especially in the fall. Lots of areas to walk, hike and explore. The cottage itself was very clean, well maintained and exactly as described. Kitchen had everything necessary to cook with, record player was a great feature and the living room was so cozy with beautiful views. Deck and yard area are spacious and there is a decent amount of privacy. The area was very quiet and secluded which made it feel like a 'real' cottage. The best part was the water. We spent the whole time fishing off the dock and caught several pike and bass and sitting lakeside at the campfire. You could kayak and canoe for days here. Truly serene area with lots to take in. The host was wonderful to deal with and always responded quickly. She provided very clear and detailed information. We had a last minute guest addition, which during covid I thought might be an issue, but wasn't. My family used to have a cottage ourselves but we actually liked this one more. Highly recommend.

| I think this must be our favourite cottage rental yet, of bouncing around many years. Cosy and cottagy but not musty. We loved the mix of traditional cottage decor and it still being updated. Extremely clean. Great, clean bunkie for giving everyone space. And most of all a wonderful, deep, clean waterfront. Boating may get busy on weekends when everyone is at their cottages on the lake but quiet during the week. Hoping to be back for sure.

| Me and my husband stayed at the cottage for a week. Great view of the lake on a spacious deck. The lake has very clear water and good fishing. Lots of wildlife in the area. Good size cottage with comfortable beds. We would be happy to renting it again.

| Whippoorwhill cottage checked all the boxes for us: an unspoiled view over a quiet part of the lake, impeccably clean, cozy ambience, comfortable beds, and a modern bathroom. On top of it all, the owners were extremely helpful and responsive. We had a fantastic week swimming, canoeing, kayaking and exploring the area with our young kids. I definitely recommend.

| Whippoorwill Cottage sits high above the narrows on Gananoque Lake nestled among pines, oaks, hemlocks and maples. The spacious deck presents a wonderful view of the lake and a bonus of no cottages on the other shore. The owners have an ideal retreat to enjoy the quiet countryside or hop in either of the Canadian made Clearwater Design kayaks or the canoe. My family enjoyed the kayaks and canoe each day with good opportunities to go north or south on the lake and admire the other cottages and the unique building designs of stairs to get down to the docks. We had a couple of campfires by the water and thrilled at the sounds of the whippoorwills and the loons. The cottage is fully equipped with an excellent barbecue and the knotty pine construction never seems to age. We saw a pair of pileated woodpeckers from the deck and many blue herons during the week. One day we ventured to nearby Lyndhurst and read their historical plaques and also read about the history of fishing camps on the lake. Highly recommend Whippoorwill Cottage as a retreat in eastern Ontario.
