Make lasting memories in this 3 Bedroom all cedar cottage on a beautiful "point" location out in Cameron Lake ..... and take advantage of free use of the Trent Canal System for the 2017 summer season in celebration of Canada's 150th Birthday

Our property is located on the leeward side of Diehl's point, with direct views/access to the bay side and great views to the west of the Lake. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets with a gentle breeze coming across the point! Large dock with ladder access to the cozy beach, great swimming and plenty of decking right on the shoreline insure great times/fun for the whole family. Cameron Lake is part of the Trent Severn Waterway which means boating options are endless. Within a 10 minute walk from the cottage down the Private Road is the old "Old Victoria Rail Lines". This fantastic trail is tree lined and meanders along the Cameron Lake shore line. It is used for walking, running, cycling, ATV's and snowmobiling. You can literally go to Haliburton on this old rail line trail

The cottage is an original Panabode which is comprised completely of 4 inch tongue and groove cedar planks built around a rugged stone fireplace. The first thing that always hits us, in the spring or after being away for a while, is the smell of cedar when you walk into the cottage. The cottage has a large picture window facing the bay and 2 of the 3 bedrooms have direct views to the bay. The third back bedroom with the 2 single beds has partial views of the lake. Attached to the cottage is a very large deck for relaxing and it is attached to a 150 year old log cabin. The log cabin is a great place to grab some quiet time or for the kids to escape mom and dad for a little while. The cottage itself is only 45 feet to the shoreline but is elevated on top of a stone wall.

Kent and Liz are gracious, generous hosts that saw to all of our needs. Our family had all of the amenities of home while enjoying the getaway from the city at this tranquil spot. The splendid views of the lake were breathtaking and we enjoyed having our meals on the deck almost each night. This cottage is situated in a perfect spot for simply gazing at the lake and the loons and other wildlife, or fishing off of the dock. We were able to enjoy the use of the kayaks and canoe provided. The dock is perfectly situated to offer both shade and sun and lake frontage was perfect for us to play frisbee and catch. Couldn't have asked for me. Thanks so much Ken and Liz!

Thanks so much for the gracious review! We loved having you and the family and hopefully we will see you again. I will pass on the message to Liz as well. Have a great winter!!! Thank You!

Our July get away to the ramesbottoms cottage was 10/10. When we arrived I was very pleased with how spotless the cottage was. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were crisp and clean. Pictures really don't do this cottage justice. We spent our time by the lake having fires nightly and our mornings with a coffee on the dock. The lane as well as the trail were great for walking the dog and taking in the beauty of the area. Fenlon falls Marina was just a short drive down the road where we rented a boat for 2 days and a jet ski with tube for an afternoon. The cottage was a perfect spot for us adults as well as our 5 year old son. He loved running around the property, fishing off the dock (very easy catches), and playing in the lake and kayaks. Neighbours were quiet and Kent was great with helping us out with any questions along the way. Highly recommend this rental.

Thanks Kent and family. Well never forget this week.

It was a pleasure to have you and the family stay at our cottage. It has blessed us with fond memories over the years and hopefully you folks will take some memories home with you. Thank you for the kind words and I will pass on the comments to my sister (co-owner) Elizabeth and to Gayle our cleaner, the both of whom work very hard to make sure the cottage is in great shape for each of our renters. Please do not hesitate to come back .... again Thank you!

Kent and Elizabeth

We had an amazing 2 weeks at the cottage. There were a lot of things we loved, the proximity to Fenelon Falls town, the peaceful lake, the sounds of the loons in the morning and evening, and the cottage itself was well equipped and nice and cozy. We loved that the deck was enclosed for our 17 month old son who started walking while we were there. We created a lot of memories and hope to be back next year. Thank you so much

Thank you for the kind words ... Awesome that the little one took his first steps at the cottage ... Elizabeth and I would love to have you and the family back ... All the best and a sincere thank you for renting from us!

What a perfect cottage and a great week. We loved the beautiful fully fenced deck right off the cottage and proximity to the waterfront, so nice to sit in the living room and see the water right there. Being on the point there was always a nice breeze and we enjoyed all that Fenelon had to offer being so close to town. Our son took full advantage of the walking/biking trail for his morning exercise. Thanks for sharing your lovely cottage with us for the week Kent and Elizabeth!

Elishia, Scott and Family - thank you for the review and thank you for staying with us. You folks are welcome back at any time!
We could have only wished Mother Nature had been cooperating a little more this summer but nevertheless we think it is a pretty special place too. Again, thank you for your kind words ....and to quote an old TV show "Y'all come back now ya hear". Cheers!

We have stayed at this cottage for a week or two per year, for the last 3 to 4 years. It's a MUST for all! Beautifully quiet, large space, right on the lake, perfect distance into town, amazing walking trails all around. The cottage has everything you need so no need to pack up your city house to live comfortably for your stay. Can't wait to come back this year for our tranquil week!
