The cottage is situated on the pristine waters of Drag Lake. A underground spring fed lake with no marinas so no pollution. It's a large lake with many public beaches, rolling hills in the foreground, rock cliffs, excellent swimming and boating. It situated about 15 minutes from the Village of Haliburton. Our cottage has its own private beach some 150' wide with a sand bottom and is very safe for kids. There is a 50' long dock and the cottage is literary 10' from the water. So only panoramic views of the lake and surrounding highlands, it is breathtaking. We have our own underground spring well water system which feeds the cottage. The water is safe and tastes great. There is a floor to ceiling stone fireplace. Central air conditioning and heat. Internet TV and high end surround sound audio system in the living room. There are three bedrooms downstairs along with a 3 piece bathroom and a beautiful renovated sun room. The bathroom downstairs has a Steam shower spa, have a steam or use the massage jets and relax. There is a huge deck overlooking the lake equipped with a gas barbecue, dining table for six, Propane outdoor overhead heater for cool nights all on one end of the deck. On the opposite end is a coffee table along with love seat and 4 single wicker outdoor lounge chairs with foot rests, a cast iron outdoor fireplace and outdoor hot tub for two, to complete your outdoor living needs. There is also hi speed internet available through out the cottage, along with a wine cooler in the living room. There is a brand new washer and dryer and the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, oven and fridge along with every other small appliance you'll need. There is even an air fryer. On the second floor is the master bedroom, which has a sitting area at the end of the bedroom overlooking the lake and ensuite piece bathroom. This encompasses the entire 2nd floor and is quite large. It consists of a 4 pillar canopy bed along your own LED TV and sound system. The upstairs bathroom has a double sink along with steam shower & spa and a private two person jacuzzi overlooking the lake. The cottage also comes with a paddle boat and 3 kayak. This place has all the luxuries you could ask for in such a tranquil and healthy environment. We have replaced one of the queen beds on the main floor with a new double and single bunk bed. Lastly we have added a foosball coffee table in the living room for those rainy days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3noDWarL2mM

| What an amazing cottage! It's well kept (upgraded), bedrooms are very comfortable, the deck is huge (great with hot tub and cast iron wood burning chiminea), the dock is large, and the lake is just fifteen feet from the cottage. The five of us had a fabulous time. A marvelous place to relax, and unwind from the hectic bustle of the city. We had a fantastic time swimming and kayaking. The cottage is beautiful, it's in a terrific location, just 15 minutes north-east of Haliburton. Easy to run into town to get groceries and any other needed supplies. Drag Lake is awesome; it's large, so ample space for any power boats, jet skis, etc. Boats were sparse and infrequent. We'd definitely come back. Highly recommended. Great communications with Michael (owner).

| We just returned from a great week at this cottage. We loved it! The cottage was very clean, well equipped and attractive furnishings. The lake was pristine and the sand beach was perfect for our granddaughter. The rock cliff's on the lake were stunning. We loved that the deck was very close to the water ...no climbing. Very nice hot tub and sitting watching the stars every night. Michael was great ...very friendly and responsive. Book this cottage!!! You will love it.

| We've visited this cottage two years in a row, for one week both times, in late August. The amenities and solitude+quiet mean that this is probably a great cottage for couples without kids, but we have two kids so I will speak to how well it works for our family. The beachfront is within clear view of the deck (and the dock), which is great for our kids (age 6 and 8) to play at by themselves with minimal supervision from the deck. The water itself is a very gentle incline (my 6 year-old can still stand in the water at the end of the dock that you can see in the pictures) and fairly safe (the boulders you see in the picture being the biggest danger to a 6 year old). The lake is nice for canoeing or kayaking, although a few days out of a week it may be a bit windy/rough. Almost no motor boats in the morning, although a few in the afternoons. There's at least one public beach (where Dardanelles Road touches Drag Lake) within a short canoe distance if you want to do lunch for one of the canoe trips (keeping in mind that I'm rating "short" and "long" by my 6 year old daughter's standards -- I think you can do longer interesting canoeing as well, but we didn't venture much farther). The proximity to Haliburton is also convenient (emergency ice cream(!), etc). We took one day bringing our kids to the Haliburton Wolf Centre, which is only about 20-30min away (if I remember correctly). Overall, the cottage has been great both times.
