Davern Lake Tree-Top Cottage

A lovely summer holiday cottage for rent on a small, quiet, beautiful lake in Eastern Ontario. The location is 15 minutes from the picturesque village of Westport or 20 minutes from historic Perth, both with excellent shopping. There are only 15 cottages on the lake, all on the south side (meaning you always have an unobstructed view of the lake and wilderness across the water).

Starting in 2023, River House Vineyard and Winery opened just a 10 minute walk from the cottage. It is a wonderful place to sample local wine and enjoy a fabulous meal. https://www.riverhousewine.com/

The cottage has 2 bedrooms with an additional sleeping cabin (sleeps 2 adults, 2 children). A large window in the 'great room' affords a beautiful panoramic view. The kitchen and bathroom have all the modern conveniences. A screened-in porch (off the kitchen) is a great place to relax. No phone or TV (there is a DVD player), but you can listen to the loons for free. The lake is landlocked with excellent water for swimming and fishing. The Tay River is close by which affords pleasurable canoeing (canoe provided) and numerous golf courses are nearby.

Preference is for families. Multi-day guests are not permitted but day visits can be arranged.
Smoking is only permitted outside and butts must be properly disposed of.

Linens are not provided. Guests must bring their own sheets, pillow cases and bath/beach towels. Pillows, blankets, duvets, and dish/tea towels are provided. Please use the bed count to know the specifics of what you should bring. Note - no laundry facilities on site.
