 | | A vacation at Water's Edge is an introvert's dream come true. The cottage is small, rustic, cute, with everything that I needed and nothing more. There is a very comfortable reading chair, in the bright main room, and a very comfortable bed, in a room with two windows to catch cross-breezes. There were a couple of minor repairs that I mentioned to Susan and she had them taken care of right away. The nearby K&P and Trans Canada trails are endlessly photogenic and serene. I spent hours wandering them. Within a five-minute walk, I captured and sunrise and sunset photos. Quiet is the word that comes to mind – in the cottage and on the trails. I would love to return next year. Thank you, Susan.

 | | Very quite and private cottage. Has a very nice view of the lake from the deck and then a small dock right on the water, which is perfect for sitting out and reading. Lots of wildlife around and if you brave the bugs there's enough wood for a fire every night. The cottage itself basically has everything you need, so all you need to bring is food, tissues, and maybe a fan (though the AC unit is surprisingly powerful). The tap water has a bit of a taste to it, so I'd also advice bringing drinks as well as food. There's a grocery store a five minute walk away, so not a huge deal if you forget something. Susan is also a wonderful host and is very helpful. The only points of caution I'd raise is that the BBQ grill is kind of rusty (though I was still able to use it) and the ground is uneven at places so can be an issue if you have mobility concerns. But if you just want some alone time by the water (can count on one hand the times I saw/hear someone else) this is wonderful.

 | | I rented this cottage for fishing, and this cottage was perfect for me. A compact cottage with all the amenities a person might need. Wish I could post a photo of the gorgeous sunsets I saw each night ... stunning. And the fishing ... well the lake has so many bays and islands to explore, it is hard to fish them all in just one week. I did my best, though. Caught close to 100 bass in the one week I was there. But the most memorable fish I caught were pike. Biggest pike I caught was 35 inches .., and what a fight. Caught several more pike ranging from 23 inches and up.
The one fish species I could not get to take my presentation was lake trout ... saw many big fish on the fishfinder, but none would bite ... so for sure I will have to return next year to catch that Laker!!

 | | We spent the most relaxing week that I think I've ever spent on vacation at Water's Edge. We loved it so much that we're going back next year! The view from inside the cottage (beautiful large windows) and then from the large, private deck overlooking the lake was spectacular! Clean, comfortable cottage with all amenities. Lovely that it is dog friendly, Millie loved chasing her ball in the lake. Great trails to hike close by. Susan was welcoming and we look seeing her again next year!
