Here are just a few commentaries from some of our returning guests:
"A LOVELY PLACE FOR WINTER OR SUMMER GET-AWAY"
Blue Heron is a wonderful place to stay--a beautiful setting in a wonderful location. All the amenities one could ask for and the owners were responsive and accessible in making arrangements, offering suggestions, answering questions, etc. The property itself was very well maintained, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The location is close to ski areas, Huntsville (a charming town), beautiful scenery, and a lake for swimming, etc., during the summer months. All the necessities were provided and in good working order, e.g. a fireplace, a kitchen with every appliance one could want, a large flatscreen TV and Blu-ray player, a large living room with comfortable seating areas, a kitchen with an island for easy food preparation, wood available for fires, etc. I would highly recommend Blue Heron as an outstanding place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Ontario. Plus, the owners have done an excellent job of making Blue Heron feel welcoming and comfortable. We hated to leave Blue Heron! Margaret Hannah, Maine, USA
BLUEHERON,PERFECT GETAWAY! We enjoyed your thoughtful hospitality so much and beautiful decorated accommodations. We just loved canoeing on Walker Lake with its quiet bays and open areas. The underdeveloped area at the end with no cottages makes you feel like you are in the interior of Algonquin. Its only a short drive to arrowhead Provincial Park were swimming and canoeing were also enjoyed - Lots to do in this area. The three beaches are great for small children. The 12 mph speed limit make it perfect for kayakers or canoeists who then don't have to deal with speedboats or jet skis. I love your beautiful evergreens by the lake in front of the cottage yet not blocking the view and the awesome Canadian Shield, God-made rocks which abound in this area. Both Walker lake and Arrowhead are perfect for distance swimming because there are no motorboats to worry about. Biking in the immediate Walker Lake road was fun because of the hills. Well be back, Lord willing! Thank You so much! Ron and Cathy, Buffalo NY
"HONEYMOON BLISS" Hello, Susan and Dennis! Thank you so much for your email and for allowing Andrew and I to enjoy your beautiful, lovely lake. We had an absolute lovely honeymoon, and the little extras you gave us made it all the better. The pass to Algonquin park was great - we went twice and got two lovely hikes out of it! We also loved having a bonfire by the lake (thank you so much for the wood supply!) and Andrew enjoyed a superb misty-morning canoe on the lake Monday morning before we left Everything was just perfect and pleasant and we are very much looking forward to making a trip back.It was a lovely, great trip and we really did enjoy it. Thank you so so much for sharing your lovely property with us. Thanks so much again, Susan! Courtney and Andrew xo
"PERFECT GETAWAY" Hi Susan, thanks for the later checkout today, and for a wonderful stay! Hope we left the place clean and tidy for you. Just fyi, we forgot some DVD's there on the window ledge behind the TV, but no worries... consider them an addition to your collection. Anyhow, we loved our time and will definitely come back for another visit sometime soon. Thank you again for everything!! Sad to be home... All the best,Damian and Sapna
"SPECTACULAR!" Susan and Dennis, It was a great trip, the place was great, the arrowhead park was pretty much awesome (tubing was our favorite but we went skating as well). Our first trip to up north was a success. You have done an incredible job, from the information binder you gave us, to the music you had playing when we first walked in and even the thought of including the cream in the fridge.. Truly a spectacular experience. I really couldn't give you any feedback for it was far better than anything we have had in mind.. Before we were leaving, we were already talking about a summer trip up there but we couldn't really decide on dates. I will let you know if we decide anything on that front..Thank you again, we've had a great trip! Tolga and Family

| Our family of four returned back home refreshed from our wonderful visit to Huntsville over the Christmas holidays. We skied at Hidden Valley and had ideal conditions to go snowshoeing for the very first time. Our favourite family activity was skating through a forest at Arrowhead Park ? free entrance with our pass provided at our rental, Just a heads up; the park was busy and staff suggested to skate mid week rather than during peak times.
Susan and Dennis's lakefront accommodation was perfect in every way!

| Our second time here!
Our first visit was winter and we loved it so much we came back for a summer visit with our nieces. WOW! Once again Susan goes out of her way to make you feel at "home" and seriously, you would not know they are around. We enjoyed playing volleyball, badminton, ladder ball and basketball. But the best part was enjoying the lake. Many canoe rides with the provide canoe and we rented paddle boards. The water was beautiful and their raft was a "second home" during the day. The fire pit is in a perfect location to enjoy the incredible sunsets as well. We also made use of the park pass to take an afternoon hike. Our dogs loved it as well. Yes, we love that they are dog friendly. The location is peaceful and quiet as is the lake. Just a perfect spot to make memories

| We loved our stay on May 10th and 11th. It was only 25 minutes from the entrance of Algonquin park, with lots of hiking trails and restaurants within minutes of the house too. It was a lovely time of year to be there too, no bugs, and the Loons were singing all night on the lake just outside the house. We would definelty stay there again hopefully in the fall. The indoor and outdoor wood burning fire options were amazing!

| Exceptional service and felt like home
My family and I were extremely happy with our stay at Blue Heron. From the moment we booked to our departure, the service was excellent. During our stay, we kept marveling at how everything we needed was right at our fingertips. Every possible need was considered from the availability of coffee, cooking supplies, personal items and equipment/supplies for our excursions to Algonquin. The home is beautiful and comfortable and we would consider returning as soon as we can.
