Waterfront

This beautiful log house sits on a private, well-manicured 3 acre property just outside of Sherbrooke. It has 230ft. of waterfront on the St. Mary's River where you can set off in the canoe, roast hotdogs in the beachside fire-pit, go for a swim or enjoy some fishing, no license required. A 3-seater canoe and adult life jackets are provided.

Nearby is the Historic Sherbrooke Village, where you can see what life was like in a Nova Scotian village of the 1800's and enjoy weekly concerts by maritime musicians at the courthouse. A half- hour drive will take you to the Port Bickerton Lighthouse Museum and surrounding hiking trails or to the amazing restaurant at Liscomb Lodge and more hiking. It is a short 15 minute drive to the nearest beach on the Atlantic Ocean or an hour drive to the beautiful beaches near Antigonish. There are a number of live theatre performances throughout the summer put on by Festival Antigonish and the Antigonish Highland Games are another great event to take in. Golfers can choose from the nearby Red Hill Golf Course or the Antigonish Golf and Country Club. Whether you are looking for hiking, fishing, sea kayaking or fine dining, you won't have far to go! And for those thrill seekers, a day trip to the Shebunacadie River for tidal bore white-water rafting is not to be missed!

With 3 bedrooms (1queen, 1 double, and 1 double/twin bunk bed) 2 hide-a-beds (1 queen, 1 double) and 2 bathrooms, this house can easily accomodate up to 8 people. The open concept living, dining and kitchen area is a great gathering place for your family and friends. Relax and have a BBQ on the large wrap-around deck after your day's adventures, while you take in beautiful views of the St. Mary's river and plan the next amazing day!(Minimum 3-day rentals and rental season is May 1-Oct 31)

What a beautiful cottage!! Gorgeous views of the St. Mary's river, sunsets and the rare sighting of a mainland moose made staying here so enjoyable!
All your needs are supplied down to paper towel and laundry detergent!
A full size bbq, dishwasher and fridge made meal planning/prep a breeze.
Two bedrooms downstairs including Bunk beds for the kids worked great, as well as a full bathroom. Beautiful master upstairs with en-suite(bathtub for children!)
A nice wood stove in the family room made movie night cozy and fun.
Unfortunately due to hurricane Dorian we did not get to enjoy the river, but are hoping to use the canoe to paddle the river and enjoy the loons on the lake another time!
The size of this cabin is also to be noted! We were able to have a family supper and include grandparents and aunts and uncles for supper one evening with lots of room!

Jody and Roger made sure to answer all our questions and were prompt with damage deposit return!
We would highly recommend them and their cottage!
We can't wait to book with them again on our next trip to Nova Scotia!

The J family from grande prairie, Alberta!

Everyone who stayed or visited the cottage was very pleased by the amenities, cleanliness and location. It was so much larger than the pictures and we were all very comfortable. We were so thankful we could all stay under one roof. Thank you so much for offering your cottage for rent.

This cabin, it's amazing!

It has a great open concept, lots of space for guests, a great overhang on the deck if it's ever raining, the beautiful waterfront, great views, and its peaceful.
Towns just a short drive away if you ever need anything, and the owners are always a delight to deal with. 11/10!!

Thanks!

We spent a 3 day weekend at this cottage and had a blast. Cottage was very well maintained, open concept and cozy. Thank you very much for letting us stay here!

Beautiful and peaceful. Upon arrival the cabin was spotless and the grounds are beautiful. There is a TV there but we never turned it on as the view was too much to miss.

Easy communication with the owner. Will book again!
