Renovated Cedar Viceroy 3 bedroom cottage, with stone/ cedar screened in porch, newly renovated kitchen with granite counters and island, spectacular sunset view on 2+ acre private property. The 440 ft of picturesque water frontage is well sheltered in this deep water cove of Georgian Bay. A private road access (drive to) or private dock gives you access to the full service village. Its less than 7 minutes away to grocery/hardware store, LCBO, ice cream, and take out fish and chips. The Dock will accommodate up to 26ft boat easily, deep water is great swimming and fishing.

| My husband, puppy and I had a wonderful week at Samantha's cottage. The cottage is built on a beautiful piece of land adorned out croppings of the Canadian Shield. The cottage is clean, spacious and well appointed. We loved the screened in porch area- It was lovely and very cozy. The beds are very comfortable and there is nothing like falling asleep with the Georgian Bay breeze. We so enjoyed watching the sunsets while sitting on the Adirondack chairs by the dock or from the living room- just stunning. The Kayaks were a bonus and enjoyed. Thank you, Samantha for sharing your little oasis with us. Appreciate how accessible you were and for your time. We had a very relaxing and beautiful holiday.

| We recently spent a week with our family at the cottage and had a great time. Samantha was easy to work with and quick to answer any questions - from time of booking to during our week there. The cottage is situated in a quiet area and the property has so much space to either hang out in sun or shade, as well as places to play lawn games. There is a great fire pit area (fire ban was on while we were there), as well as a rock area where we set up a propane fire pit we brought.
The cottage was very roomy and there are a couple different living areas that allowed us all to spread out. The screened in sunroom is cozy and we spent time in there reading and visiting. The kitchen has everything you need in relation to dishes, utensils, pots and pans. All BBQ tools are there as well. There really isn't anything you need to bring!
The bedrooms were spacious and where the cottage is situated, we found such a nice breeze almost every day, that with windows open and ceiling fans going, we were very comfortable in the heat of the day. There are not only ceiling fans but also plug in fans in the rooms as well. Again, everything is thought of to make your stay very easy and comfortable.
We used the kayaks, but we also have a boat, so we were able to explore the area and boat to the local grocery store for the few items we forgot, as well as to a local marina for ice cream. Swimming off the dock was part of our week too!
We highly recommend Samantha's cottage for a relaxing vacation.

| Samantha and Rob have a great cottage and a great location. They were also very helpful providing a quick tour and showing us where everything was. The cottage has literally everything you could need including WiFi. The property is well maintained and has plenty of space for various activities. Their waterfront is great for swimming and watching the sunset. The kayaks were a great added bonus as we explored several miles of the gorgeous shoreline that Georgian Bay offers. Hopeful that we can book again for 2023.

| My family and I had a great week at the cottage. The weather was sunny and hot and the water was warm! I was blown away by how well maintained and clean the property was. The inside of the cottage is decorated nicely, just how a proper cottage should be. The screened in porch is amazing! It's perfected for enjoying enjoying the morning fresh air with a cup of coffee and we spent time playing games in here at night. The view of the water is stunning, especially the visible sunsets at dusk. The cottage is situated inside a quiet bay away from any boat traffic or noise which makes it perfect for swimming or relaxing on the dock. The owners of the property are also kind enough to let you use their 2 kayak's and canoe. We had a blast taking them out and exploring the area. This is the perfect place for a family get away. Overall beyond happy with my experience, I will be returning next year! Thank you Samantha and Rob for having us!

| This is our second time renting the cottage and it is a very nice cottage overall . Great sunset but there is quite a breeze which is great for bugs and on super hot days but very cool on the days that were not. The cottage sleeps 6 easily and is very comfortable with the balconies in two rooms. Just to warn everyone there are a lot of steps down to the dock and the last 3 or 4 are very high and difficult if you have any knee issues or are older. They need to be modified.There was only a partially finished rope for a railing to hold on to .Not suitable for small children. There are several steps inside the cottage to get into the kitchen/dining area. Not an issue for adults but may be for small children.. There are kayaks this year however under the cottage so very hard to get down to the water given the steep slope and all the stairs. We did not wind up using at all as we had a boat up there. The internet was not working and had to call the service and wait all day for them to fix on a nice day. However Samantha provided all the necessary information I needed on the account . It turned out to be a router issue .Several guests mentioned the mattresses were very uncomfortable in the one bedroom with the singles .Would suggest some upgrades and to kitchen utensils (we had to bring our own bbq tongs and spatulas, larger serving spoons) and adding some bowls for salad, chips etc. Although there is a basement bathroom no-one wound up using it as it is always full of bugs.

Owner response: Thank you Margaret for taking the time to review the cottage after your second two week stay, it is unfortunate I could not accommodate all the other weeks you had requested this year and last year. The kayaks and canoe have been available for the last 3 years, they are stored under the deck to keep them clean and to prevent damage when they are not being used. For the past 22 years all( including children and seniors) who visited the cottage navigated the natural slope of the landscape to access the dock and water, recently we added the stairs for easier access for some Unfortunately with water levels being much lower this year the last step from stairs to dock is a little steeper. The cottage kitchen is nicely equipped with sufficient pots, pans, dishes etc It is unfortunate that some of your guest, including the unannounced dog, did not find the sleeping accommodations suitable. as a reminder all guests and pets must be listed on the agreement prior to your stay. Leaving the basement door open with lights on allows insects easy entry during the night. keeping the door to the basement closed, as requested, does eliminate most insects getting into the bathroom. For the last 22 years we have accommodated many happy guests with numerous returning year after year. As a result we have limited vacancy year after year. We are sorry to hear you were not happy this year with some aspects of the cottage as we do strive to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable atmosphere. In return Margaret, we have tried to be reasonable in expecting our guests to return the cottage as they found it. Best regards Samantha | |
