Note: Gorgeous picturesque area with sandy beach that is gradually deepening so it is great for kids. Large beach area with 100 feet of frontage.
Diamond Lake is a 4 km long lake with great bass and trout fishing. The lake reaches depths of approx 100 feet in some areas. Very beautiful lake with granite rock cliffs and half the lake is undeveloped and in the same condition it would have been hundreds of years ago.
Truly a one of a kind lake.

| Just got back from a mid-week stay. Cottage was very well equipped and clean when we arrived. Lots of kayaks and other boats to use. Nice sandy beach area for the kids and lovely firepit area. Thanks again for letting us enjoy your property!

| Amazing cottage.
The view from upstairs and downstairs is great.
Tons of things to do outside with the canoes, kayaks and pedal boat provided.
Cottage was clean inside and a ton of room for our group of 12 (8 adults, 4 kids under 5).
Waterfront was clean, weed free, sandy and very safe for our children.
Definitely would rent again.

| Glens cottage was perfect in every way. Went up for a weekend away with the girls and the cottage was just what we were looking for. Lots of space, lots of rooms and sleeping space, right on the water and a lake that wasn't, for lack of a better word, mucky. It had a great sandy bottom and was perfect for swimming.
Glen also allowed us use of the kayaks and canoes which was amazing.
The cottage had everything you would need for cooking. Lots of dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Lots of seating between indoor dinning room table and the two patio tables outside.
Extremely happy with our stay and would gladly recommend this cottage to anyone.

Pros
1. Privacy! It was located in a nice quiet area and privacy was not an issue.
2. There was a lot of equipment to use for water activities.
3. The price was reasonable.
4. The owner was quick to respond to emails and provided detailed information making the booking process easy.
CONS
1. When we arrived, we walked through the property only to notice broken glass and lots of cigarette butts in the back leading to the lake. That made the property look dirty. Inside the cottage, smelled like a dirty mop but since the floors were wet and the mop/bucket with dirty water was in the living room... We made a quick run to the store for some Lysol and we spent day one cleaning and vacuuming. We had young children with us.
2. The bathrooms were pretty dirty! Especially the one in the basement, from the floor to the back of the toilet. That was quite hard to use! We cleaned the bathrooms also on day 1! The shower was very small too.
3. Mold! There was mold on the back door, on the patio, in the basement living area. This made our stay difficult especially with young children who wanted to explore and touch everything! We were constantly washing hands on this stay!
An average stay overall but I personally would not return.

Owner response: Thank you for the feedback Alberta. We will definitely review this with the cottage inspection company we hire to check the cottage in between renters. I'm very sorry that you found the cottage in this condition and we will make sure the inspection people are aware of this and cleaning items like the broken glass up ASAP. Next time, whether you rent with us or someone else, please let us know about these conditions as you find them and we will get someone there asap to rectify this. Unfortunately until we read this feedback, we were unaware of what you were dealing with and couldn't rectify it. | |
