This cozy cottage located on beautiful Charleston lake in Slacks Gap and next to Websters Bay makes for the perfect getaway. The cottage is conveniently located 4km from Charleston Village and is just a 30 minute drive to Brockville, 45 minutes to Kingston and 90 minutes to Ottawa. The cottage contains two bathrooms, one two piece and one four piece. It features a scenic view of the lake, which can be seen through the large front windows and the sliding glass door. The large front deck is the perfect place to relax. The cottage also features a 5X40ft dock. The cottage roads are perfect for biking and nature walks. The water is quite shallow at the end of the dock, being only 3 to 4ft and deepens gradually. It has a sandy bottom, which makes it great for kids. Charleston lake is a wonderful place to swim, boat, kayak, canoe and to do virtually any water activity. Charleston lake is 9 miles long and 5 miles wide with over 50 islands. It is a very deep lake, with most of the lake being at least 60ft deep and many areas deeper, 300ft being the deepest. There is lots of cliffs, trees around the lake. The temperature of the water in Slacks Gap by early June is typically around 65° Fahrenheit and by mid June, the temperature climbs to about 70° and then 75-85° for the month of July and early August during usual seasonal temperatures. For those interested in fishing, fishing season lasts from: Bass: 3rd Sat. in June to Nov. 30 Lake Trout: 4th Sat. in May to Sept.8 Northern Pike: 2nd Sat in May to Dec.31

| Being first time cottage renters we didn't know what to expect or what to pack & we were pleasantly surprised to find that the cottage was well stocked with all of the necessities needed for our week long stay! It checked all of our boxes: Fantastic view, great swimming with easy access, a nice big dock, awesome fishing, A/C, pleasant neighbours, dog friendly & lot's of space inside, as well as outside for all of our family to enjoy! We'll definitely be back :)

| The cottage was more than we expected! There was lots of space to have quiet moments inside and out. Our view was incredible. The kitchen was so fully stocked we didn't even need some of the appliances we brought from home. We used the brand new BBQ! Beds and living room was all very comfortable and had great cross ventilation. VERY easy to find and a short drive into Lyndhurst. Doug was great to deal with and we hope to return.

| My husband and I having been staying here every fall for the last 5 years. It's always been quiet and peaceful. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Every enjoyable. We love the Ottawa Valley. The cottage is an easy drive to various towns like Brockville, Merckville, Smithville, Perth, even Ottawa. Doug is a great host.

| we have stayed at the cottage 4 times now and we are impressed by the location, condition, and price. we have booked again for another trip and hope to continue for as long as we are able, health wise. we are totally pleased with everything that Doug, the owner has done for us. I would recommend the cottage for anyone who would enjoy a pleasant time at CharlestonLake.
