Le chalet a 800 pieds de rivage avec une exposition sud. La grande terrasse au bord du lac mène à un double quai et à une vue panoramique sur une péninsule privée boisée isolée. Ce chalet est sur 1,7 acres de terrain boisé. Ce chalet est sur le lac Bass à 100 pieds du lac Joseph avec un joli bar et restaurant au bout du lac ouvert toute l'année situé au bout du lac Bass Muskoka. Il offre une vue sur le front de mer depuis presque toutes les pièces. La grande terrasse et le quai au bord de l'eau offrent amplement d'espace pour la détente et sont assis au bord du lac totalement privés. Si vous souhaitez louer 3 chambres hors saison, vous pouvez, mais pour les mois de juillet et août, vous ne pouvez louer que le chalet entier et payer pour une semaine. Il y a des épiceries à moins de 15 minutes en voiture. Golf, musée et théâtre à proximité. Golf:Club de golf des hautes terres de Muskoka. Club de golf de Bracebridge, club de curling et de golf de South Muskoka. Divertissement:Rene M Caisse Memorial Theatre, The Norwood Theatre, Santa's Village, Muskoka Brewery, Rich Hill Candle Factory. Musées : Muskoka Boat & Hertitage Centre, Muskoka Lakes Museum, Woodchester Villa Parcs : Parc aérien Eaglecrest, parc commémoratif Annie Williams, lac Hardy. If you have a large family this cottage is perfect. Upon arrival we were pleased that all rooms had been cleaned and ready for use. Appliances in both kitchens worked fine. The deck looking onto the lake is being upgraded and good for barbequing or relaxing with a beverage. Its a 10 second walk from the deck to the dock that gets sun all day long. Its our favorite spot to sit under the umbrella, watch the grandkids swim or go for a ride on the seadoo. The campfire is big enough for 12 people to sit around it enjoying a roasted marsh mellow or smores. With a large family you need adequate parking and the cottage has room for 6 cars. We have been renting the cottage for the past 6 years and look forward to being back again next year.

| While the property and location cannot be beat, the cottage itself was not kept up as would be expected for a rental cottage. It was obvious the interior had not had a good clean in a very long time, there were cobwebs in every room, garbage under beds, glass shards on the kitchen floor, and very dirty floors in every other room. There also had been moisture issues in the building for some time, which wad apparent in the mold and mildew visible on various surfaces upstairs and downstairs. We had to sleep with the windows open and, even then, those of our group with allergies and asthma were reacting to the mold, including little children. There were dehumidifiers in the basement but the mold issue was already established. Half of the deck was unusable and was very unsafe to walk on. The owner had replaced one half but the rest was in very poor shape. Once it is all fixed the deck will be the perfect place to sit and enjoy the lake views. There were 2 fridges in the cottage but one wasn't working well to keep things cold. The size of the cottage was great, it easily slept our crowd of 14. The dock and beach was lovely and the fire pit area was very scenic for sunset views. The kitchen amenities were adequate for the number of people we had there and the living areas had lots of seating. It's too bad that it hadn't been cleaned in so long and had the moisture issues because this cottage would be a perfect family vacation spot!

We're glad to hear you enjoyed the location, dock, beach, fire pit area, and that the cottage was spacious enough for your group. That said, I'm truly sorry you felt the cottage did not meet your expectations in certain areas. We take cleanliness seriously — the property is cleaned after every stay by two people from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. — but it's clear that your experience was not what we aim to provide, and I will be following up with our cleaning team to ensure this does not happen again. Regarding moisture and mildew, I personally stayed in the cottage for two months earlier this year (and I have asthma myself) without experiencing any issues. Additionally, the cottage has never received similar complaints in the past. Still, I understand that sensitivities can vary, and your feedback is valuable as we continue with planned renovations for next year. The deck was partially rebuilt earlier this season, and our carpenter confirmed the remaining portion was safe. However, the rest of the deck is scheduled for completion before next summer. As for the refrigerators, we provide two for convenience (most cottages only have one). One of them can run cold if the temperature setting is too high, and I explained this to every guest that arrives.While I was also surprised to find boxes and garbage left behind after checkout, I chose not to charge any additional fee. We've had many guests return year after year and enjoy their stays, but I do recognize that we can't please everyone. I appreciate your honest feedback, and I'll be using it to continue improving the cottage so future guests have the best possible experience. | |
