This is an amazing cottage and property. It had the perfect set up for our family of 11. We enjoyed the beach with lots of children's toys. We loved the standup paddle boards, paddle boat and kayak. PFDs in many sizes were available. Lots more toys and games for kids and adults. We had a blast with all that was provided.

Inside the cabin is a large very modern well equipped kitchen with a large fridge/freezer. The large space worked well when there were many cooks in the kitchen. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and are nicely decorated. The ensuite master bath has an amazing multi head shower and soaker tub.

Dan was very quick to respond to an issue with the AC which was fixed within a short time.

We have recommended to other members of our extended family and hope to rent again next year.

This was our first stay at retreat #2 but definitely won't be our last! This cottage is perfect for families, friends or any kind of group. So much space and well laid out inside, even has built in baby gates for all stairs! The lawn games and water toys for both young and old are endless. The beach area is amazing and nice clear shallow water that you can go out forever and still touch, the kids loved this!
Hot tub was an added bonus. Dan is so responsive and helpful. Kitchen is well equipped and beds were comfortable! I'll be back in September with a group of ladies and I already can't wait!

This was my second stay at Retreat #2 and it was just as outstanding as the first time. There was some nice added touches since the last visit which made our stay that much more memorable. Dan was always quick to answer any questions I had. Can't say enough amazing things about this place. Has everything you could ever want in a cottage. Can't wait till my next visit. Dan and the Cannon Retreat has served as the Carleton University Boyz Reunion Weekend on two different occasions. These two cottages are amazing. We couldn't determine which one is better. They both have so many amenities its hard to try everything in a weekend! Saunas, hot tubs, skiing, trips to Bon Echo, movies and endless euchre. We slept eight and had a few sleeping areas leftover! They really have thought of everything and crossing our fingers we get to go back for a third annual in 2025!

This is my second time staying at the Glen Cannon Retreat # 2 and I couldn't be happier. The cottage is perfect for a winter getaway and comfortable for a large group. The kitchen is very well equipped. Dan is very responsive. I hope to visit again next year.
