| The cottage itself is very nice; the kitchen is newly renovated and fully stocked, there is a nice living room with a large TV and the sunroom is air-conditioned and the perfect place to hang out when it's hot or buggy outside. HOWEVER, my communications with the owner led me to believe that the lake was perfectly swimmable. Unfortunately, it is filled with reeds (unlike the pictures posted) and barely a foot deep in many places. There is one area far off to the left where it is deep without reeds, but it is almost impossible to get there as there were two kayaks and only one paddle provided. If swimming is low on your list, I would recommend this cottage. But unfortunately, I was quite disappointed because that is a crucial aspect for me.

Réponse proprio: I can understand your frustration but I can't control the water levels. It's not a lake it's the Moira River and the reeds are sometimes worse than other times which again I cannot control. The missing paddle we need to address as there was definitely 2, and there's also a boat you can use with the same paddles. We wade out until it's deeper if shallow and swim over but I guess it's personal preference - a lot of people want to Kayak and some just like to lie in the river to cool off! | |
