| The best way to describe this cottage is "A home away from home!". This was a last minute booking for my family and we thoroughly enjoyed the place. The cottage provided everything we could possibly need to make our holiday enjoyable. What blew me away was the fact that it turned out better than what was displayed on the website which is rare. Our favorite was the coffee station and the fact that we had so much privacy. Instructions were simple and the cottage was quite centrally located. This cottage has all amenities for a perfect stay and is very serene and comfortable. Although the cottage has 3 bedrooms, the sunroom was used as an added room with the super comfy pullout sofa and extraordinary view. The family enjoyed game nights with all the games provided and even enjoyed paging through the books and magazines in the sunroom on rainy days. Like many have mentioned, it felt like being in the country yet so close to home. Contact with Jadranka added a personal touch to our stay. We had left something behind at the cottage and Jadranka went the extra mile to help us out. We had a great time and do hope to go back soon. I would definitely recommend The Getaway as a holiday home!

| A perfect stay.
The cottage is beautifully decorated and modern, but still VERY cozy and has the cottage vibe. Irish Lake is beautiful and only allows electric or human-powered craft so there's no buzzing and loud engines to disturb the peace. I loved the cottage so much I stayed in for the five days I was visiting - Peaceful and quiet, with a great view of stars.
The cottage has everything - A cappucino maker, a natural gas-fed grill, a well-stocked kitchen with spices AND utensils, linens, a big-screen TV with internet for the kids, a library and boardgames, and a few grocery stores a short drive away. Not to mention the canoes and watersports. It was clean and welcoming from the moment I stepped in!
I will be coming back!

| Everything was fantastic from start to finish. The house is beautiful and in the perfect location for us as we had a family function not too far away. The lake views and dock access are an excellent plus. And the owner was wonderful to deal with. Thanks again and I'm sure we'll be back if not us some of our family members.

| My friends and I stayed at this lovely cottage overnight. We went to the Scandinave Spa for the day and attended a pie-making workshop at the nearby Red Hen Artisanale during our visit to the area. We absolutely loved every part of our time in the Grey Highlands. The Irish Lake cottage was the perfect place to come home to during our stay. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped -just as the photos promise! It exceeded our expectations! Jadranka is an excellent host. We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation!

| I'm having difficulty putting into words just how much I respect our hosts especially Jadranka!
Their attention to detail is phenomenal! Something for everyone. This beautiful cottage is spacious, yet warm and cozy both day and night. So welcoming! Pure QUALITY!!!
It's so peaceful with a gorgeous view of the lake! We loved enjoying our coffee and cocktails on the deck. The back yard was shocking! Private and with a wonderful firepit on the hill. I can imagine how it would be sitting around the fire with hot chocolate and marshmallows in the winter or summer. Year round! Next time we MUST stay longer and check out the pedal boat & paddleboards! Too little time! Thank you so much Jadranka for allowing us to share your lovely "chalet" with hopes that we will be welcomed back! Deb & Les
