We were very pleased with our stay at this haven on the French River. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and everything we could possibly need was provided from linens to towels to kitchen supplies. Everything was in working order, and if any issues or questions arose, the owners were extremely responsive and helpful! The water was beautiful and peaceful, and the use of the paddleboards and canoe was perfect.

The cottage was a nice mix of modern and the older cottage feel, and there was plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for our family of 4.

We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone!

We were lucky enough to find this gem to spend our annual family vacation. This cottage is a wonderful combination of past and present generations; from the quaint reading room, to the luxurious kitchen/common room.

The view from every angle of the cottage is wonderful: from watching sunsets on the water, to the lush outdoor kitchen at the entrance, where my husband peacefully BBQ'd dinners. Jumping off the dock into the refreshing water and floating in our tubes was a daily must. The fishing was terrific both off the dock and in the many bays along the river.

Our hosts, Ann and Les Lisk were absolutely wonderful and welcoming; the cottage was stocked with everything to make our stay incredibly easy. When we left, we all agreed that we could not wait until next year to return. We highly recommend "Alban Haven" as your home away from home.

Absolutely gorgeous location overlooking the water. Stayed with a party of 8 and had no issues with accommodating everyone. A lovely mix of old and new decor-- the kitchen and living space were by far our favourite spaces. Les & Ann were very welcoming hosts and kind to us during our visit and well-equipped to answer any questions we had.

A definite contender for being your next home-away-from-home; highly recommended!
