| We held a family reunion comprising 16 members of our family at the Barakah site and could not have been happier with our decision to stay there. The property is exactly as advertised and pictured. The large cottage/house is well designed and very well appointed. The five bedrooms are each suitable for two persons and the beds are comfortable. The large kitchen/living open space is a great place to gather and the huge dining room table (we squeezed 16 around it several times) provides the focal point. The kitchen itself is modern and has everything you will need. There are two fridges with a large one in the kitchen and another for overflow in the attached garage.
The cabins are rustic but comfortable, all with a bathroom, AC/heater, and a small fridge (came in handy with 16 persons). The outdoor space is large with a great firepit and easy access to the water. Parking for six vehicles was not a problem.
We were initially a bit concerned regarding the proximity to the highway, and while vehicles are always passing by, it was not in any way a distraction. Inside the main building one did not notice any traffic noise, and the outdoor space is far enough back from the road for it not to be a problem. We found the owners easy to deal with and very responsive. A water problem, that while major, was rectified quickly, and all other contact was quick and professional.
We had a wonderful week and recommend highly this property for similar type get togethers.

| Very clean . Cottage stocked with all amenities.
Cabins are cute and have both heater, ac, own bathroom with shower and kitchenette.
All was excellent.
Great area . On a beautiful lake with dock .
Will definitely rent again as it was great for my large family.

| Wonderful cottage for a big family. The outdoor area was great to play, eat, enjoy a campfire and swim. The lake is quite shallow at the dock so it is great for children and adults alike.

| Our family very much enjoyed out stay at Golden Lake cottages in Deacon. The main cottage had everything that was needed to cook all our meals
There was a nice long table and chairs so we could all sit together for meals that was wonderful.
The 3 cabins were great for our older grandchildren they loved having a cabin to themselves.
The only caution to keep in mind is that the cottage and cabins are extremely close to the road so if you are a light sleeper that can be a challenge. Also if you have young children will need to keep a close eye on them ..
We had a great week as a family.

Usually there aren't many cars that pass through, however there is currently construction on Highway 60 that may be contributing to some unwanted traffic. | The cottage was lovely, lots of room for many guests between the main cottage and the three cabins. The kitchen in the main cottage was very modern and had everything we needed and more. The lake was warm and shallow, ideal for our young children. Our kids also loved the sandy beach. The only consideration that I'd share is that the property is right on highway 60 so you can hear the cars depending on the amount of traffic. The cars didn't detract from our stay though, and we would definitely rent the cottage again as it's perfect for a large group!
