| We travelled from Vancouver for a family vacation and really enjoyed our stay at the Racoon's Rest.
Before we reserved our week, we had many questions and the host patiently answered everything we needed to know.
The cottage was very clean, bright and comfortable for everyone. The property is really big with a nice large deck that looks out at the beautiful view of the lake. The beach area is very inviting with multiple Adirondack chairs, a wide entry into the water.
The owners John & Maria were extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. They made us feel welcomed.
Centennial Lake is beautiful and I would recommend a relaxing vacation at the Raccoons Rest!

| A really enjoyable and relaxing vacation at this fully equipped cottage. The beach was
beautiful and safe , kayaks and canoe helped us enjoy the river/lake.
We are already looking forward to our vacation next year at the Racoon Rest !

| As two couples and a small child, we were wary of renting such a small cottage. However, the space worked better than we could have imagined! There was tons of outdoor space for the little one to use and the cottage was set back from the water enough that we weren't constantly chasing her away from it (but not too far that we couldn't run back for snacks). It rained for a few days during our visit, but there was enough space inside to spread out and do our own things without stepping on each other. Use of the provided amazon firestick was a welcome perk! Kitchen was well stocked to meet cooking needs. Beach area had a shallow slope into the river perfect for a little one to splash in while adults floated nearby in the deeper areas or sat on the chairs nearby. Boats were a welcome addition and provided some recreational activities on site, two docks allowed for ample fishing opportunities. Only complaint was the lack of cell service in most of the area, but wifi access in the cottage made up for it! Owners were outstanding and always welcomed conversation - they're currently working on continuing to improve the cottage for future guests and hope to add a cell service booster soon.

| This is a beautiful, well equipped cottage. The owners, John and Maria are wonderful people who are helpful, accommodating and will do everything they can to make your stay memorable and very comfortable. The hot water heater quit working while we were there and it was fixed within the hour?.wow!
We have stayed here twice and highly recommend this cottage, location and owners.

| Beautiful little cottage. Very clean and well kept. Beautiful view from the deck down the Madawaska River. Great swimming and many fun toys to play on. Owners were very helpful with any questions. Would definitely book again.
