| A true 10/10 cottage experience!
El Norte Lodge is easily one of the best rental properties we've ever stayed at. You get the authentic Canadian backwoods experience combined with all the modern comforts (A/C, great Wi-Fi/cell service, full kitchen, and super comfortable beds). Buckshot Lake is quiet, clean, and incredible for swimming and kayaking. The hosts are fantastic and take great pride in keeping the property immaculate. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, high-quality lakefront getaway!

| We stayed for the first time at "El Norte Lodge" and it was the best experience. The place by the water, the cottage itself, the outdoor experience, everything was 10/10. We enjoyed a much wanted family time, the kids did kayaking, the owner took us on an excursion to see the falls on an atv... I highly recomend it if you want to enjoy your family and create happy memories together

| Simply amazing!
We've stayed at many places over the years, and El Norte Lodge was by far the most immaculately kept location I have experienced. With great views and great features came an all-around great adventure for my family and many of our in-laws, siblings, and grandparents. Plenty of dock and beach space for water toys, kids, and shallow swimming, including the canoes and sand toys provided. Ample room inside kept us busy when it rained, and a vast deck and veranda allowed for meals and enjoying the beautiful Canadian lakeside summer views outside. Katie and Ricardo were very accommodating to our last minute major changes, offered a well-stocked kitchen for group cooking, and even offered help with some boat repairs! Evenings around the fire had ample seating for our group of 14, and the camera gear stayed up overnight to capture the pristine dark skies and Milky Way far away from city lights. Our only regret was not staying longer!
A great place and we highly recommend El Norte for other families and groups looking for a warm, welcoming getaway.

| We enjoyed a wonderful week at El Norte in August 2020. It is very clean, spacious and very well supplied enabling us to host our adult children (3), spouses (2) and grandchildren (5) at times during the week. Dining room table easily seated 6 adults and 5 children. All beds were very comfortable. Beautiful lake with great waterfront and dock for everyone to enjoy canoeing, fishing and swimming. Both kids and adults enjoyed the fire pit for evening camp fires and making gooey s'mores. A wonderful deck for sitting and reading or visiting. We enjoyed our week so much that we have already made a reservation for next summer. Harold and Wendy

| This year our family of 12, from grand parents in their 70s down to the youngest grandchild of age six, stayed for one week at the El Norte Lodge and it was perfect we really couldn't have asked for anything more. The rooms were spacious and beds were new and comfortable. The kitchen was really well suited for all of us and well stocked with all of the right kitchen ware needed. The cottage was super clean upon arrival - we felt as though we were in a resort. The lake was safe and shallow for the little one at the shore but plenty deep for jumping and diving at the end of the nice long dock. There were two solid canoes that were used daily by our gang for exploring and fishing. The lake was quiet and the neighbors all around were super friendly and respectful. It is obvious that this cottage is super well maintained and cared for. This is a great family spot. Thanks so much to Ricardo and family for giving us the space to unwind and enjoy our time together. We look forward to returning one day soon.
