Thank you so much for the review. I am sorry you didn't find it as quiet as you are accustomed to. As you put it it isn't "camping". We like to provide as many of the comforts of home we can but still maintain a cottage feel. Being right off the paved roadway has it's advantages such as no dust from cars or mud when it rains. It is always the first to be snowplowed in the winter which is a big perk being a four season cottage as some roads can stay snow covered or muddy for days making access dangerous or impossible. Vehicles going by unfortunately is the cost. I always find it very tough when people ask how private it is since everyone has their own view of what privacy is. Compared to most cottage resorts it's private, compared to a paddle in campsite in Algonquin, not so private. I always suggest the map to view the area when asked.

The Camp across the river is Boundless Adventures. It is a 600 acre property offering outdoor learning. It is their ropes course you can see part of over the trees across the river. I usually only see them using it once or twice a week in the summer but I guess that would depend on the group that week. I always found it entertaining to see them swinging from the ropes and it sure beats looking across to a row of cottages with boats coming and going all day.

Thank you again for the review as I always want people to enjoy themselves to the fullest when at the cottage.
