| Our stay at Charlie's Retreat was amazing! My family found the cottage perfect for our vacation. We slept well in the comfortable beds, lounged around in the living room and outdoor areas, and prepared meals in the well equipped kitchen. The dining room provided views of the lake and up close birdwatching during our meals. The rear deck offered great views of the lake, bird and boat watching, and of course the amazing sunrise. We were able to view the meteor shower during our stay too. There was a Heat Warning for several days during our stay. We didn't notice as the air conditioning was strong and cold, keeping us very comfortable when we were home.
The cottage's location is perfect for exploring the area. We visited Point Pelee National Park three times, Hillman Marsh, Leamington, Wheatley and Amherstburg. We tried the local perch at Taylor's Fish and Chips and at Freddy's Restaurant. Both establishments are recommended. You have all the options available to you: Just relax in the cottage for a "lazy" day or visit the many local attractions.
The booking process and all communication with Jeff was prompt and courteous. He definitely made our stay worry free! We would not hesitate to stay here again!

| Charlie's Retreat made my family's Point Pelee vacation pretty close to perfect. The Beach House room provides great views of the lake, and the birds and butterflies at the feeders. It was a great place to open the windows and play games at night and have breakfast in the fresh air. Being on Lake Erie was incredible and relaxing, and the deck was was used daily with incredible views - sunrises, birds and even a lightning storm one evening that filled the skies!
The cottage was very clean, well maintained and had everything that we needed. It was exactly what we were hoping for: modern but cottage-ish
We visited the Park at least twice each of the 7 days that we were at the cottage and the drive was great each time. Having a cottage to return to made the trip very enjoyable and allowed a much more relaxed pace, with the BBQ and outdoor oven.
Thank you very much for allowing us to rent Charlie's Retreat and we hope to return!

| Charlie's retreat was indeed that a reprieve and retreat from the city in a beautiful location. Located directly on Lake Erie, we were able to enjoy sunrises every morning, birds of all kinds, a cozy interior, and a spectacular main bedroom with a view of the water. From Charlie's, we were easily able to explore Point Pelee, Pelee Island, local wineries, Sandy beaches at Point Pelee National Park, cute shops in Leamington and Kingsville, and obtained freshly caught Pickerel 5 minutes away. Taylor's Fish and Chips was a particular treat, also very close by. The local wine was surprisingly good and reasonably priced, in my opinion better quality and in many cases older vines than Niagara. Jeff was a gracious host; very responsive and providing us with some firewood for the lovely fire pit, at which we sat at night watching the stars. It was an overall extremely relaxing experience and we will be returning again. The cottage was stocked with everything you will need to enjoy your time away with little hassle. Very much worth the drive from Toronto. Highly recommended.

| We recently had the opportunity to stay 1 week at Charlie's Retreat followed by a week at Sun Sets on 43. Both cottages are wonderful and offer different aspects to enjoy. Charlie's is right on the lake, Sun Sets backs onto a field with beautiful sunsets. Both cottages are well maintained, clean and well supplied. Jeff and Wendy are continually improving both properties to keep them current and comfortable. Thank you. We will be back. Connie & Jack

| This is a very comfortable cottage. Nothing has been overlooked. Everything has been thoughtfully provided. All the appliances worked well and some were brand new. The furniture wasn't falling apart like some cottages we have rented. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The entire cottage and property are well maintained. It was a pleasure to stay there. Any questions or small issues were quickly dealt with. Thank you Wendy & Jeff. We won't hesitate to rent your cottage again. Connie & Jack
