| The newly renovated bathroom smelled like an open septic tank. That smell was lingering everywhere. The filtered water was disgusting, we bought our own water. I didn't complain until Wendy deducted the cleaning fee. She admitted we washed all the floors, the toilet, the vanity, the shower, but not the kitchen counter top and the stove top and she had to reorganize the dishes. She said the smell was taken care of and she didn't offer any discount. She gave me a hard time paying back the remaining deposit.

Owner response: It's unfortunate that you did not raise any concerns when we were speaking to you after your arrival. We would have been able to investigate the source. We were there earlier that day and did not notice any odours, nor did we receive any complaints from the next renter. However, just in case the smell you observed was related to the septic system, we had it pumped. Whatever the original source, it is not a problem currently. As for the water, we have a UV purification system with two, dual stage filters. The water may taste different than the chlorinated tap water from the city, however, it is certainly not disgusting and we've never had a complaint previously. I understand you were not expecting to pay a cleaning fee. The rental agreement, however, clearly indicates that you have to leave the cottage in the same state of cleanliness as you found it and if we have to clean or put things away, a cleaning fee is deducted. When we spend an hour and a half cleaning the kitchen, putting back and organizing dishes and tidying up other areas of the cottage for the next renter, we feel a cleaning fee is justified. The balance of your security deposit was sent to you within 10 days as indicated in the rental agreement. | |

| Thank you Wendy and Darren for another fantastic week at your wonderful cottage. We made good use of the canoe and paddle board, and the nightly fires watching the sunset were absolutely magical. We can't wait for our next visit.

| Absolute slice of paradise! We have stayed here twice, once in June and couldn't get enough, so we came back in September. Wendy and Darren are the perfect hosts, friendly, kind, generous and readily available to help with any issue, shall they arise. We will definitely book again next year. Thank you Wendy and Darren for sharing your beautiful cottage with us this summer.

| We had a wonderful stay at Twin Oaks Cottage. It was the perfect getaway for our family. The view is amazing and we loved spending time in the lake, on the dock, and on the deck. The paddleboard and canoe were lovely as well. The cottage is very well stocked for family rainy days with board games and a wide selection of movies. Wendy was helpful and available. Would definitely recommend this rental!

| Went up to stay at the twin oaks cottage with the family. The Cottage itself is very nice and cozy with all the amenities. The area by the lake where the cottage is located was also a pleasure, very little grass which makes it a wonderful place to swim. The views from the deck as well as from the boardwalk are fantastic and a great place to relax. The fire pit is also located nicely right by the water. One word of advice, when parking your car, remain cautious and careful as the short but steep decent into the designated driveway can be difficult to get out of, particularly if you have a large car such as a minivan. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Highly recommended. Wendy and Darren were also very reasonable and helpful throughout our stay and were very easy to reach. Thank you again for a wonderful time!
