Ever wonder what a true log home is like to live in? Come and enjoy our beautiful cottage, located on 7 private acres with over 250 feet of Lake Ontario waterfront in the southeast corner of Prince Edward County. Inside the secluded log home cottage you will find a comfortable open-concept living space incorporating a spacious seating area, adjoining dining and kitchen area and bathroom with shower. The living space features a cozy wood stove as well as a new, well-equipped kitchen - perfect for a couple that want to get away from it all, or a family that wants to spend quality time together. It is also air-conditioned for your summer enjoyment. The kitchen was completely revamped in 2022 with new cabinets, counters, lighting, appliances (including dishwasher) and plumbing. We have also upgraded all the windows in the cottage, plus all new flooring throughout the main floor. Explore Lake Ontario's Prince Edward Bay by kayak, relax under the mature maples that line the waterfront, or use the cottage as a base to experience the County. Lake Ontario is ideal for swimming (more so in the later summer months). Although it is cooler than the Bay of Quinte, the water is bright and clear. The shoreline is shale and can be slippery (please review the photos), meaning that water shoes are recommended. The waterfront is unsupervised and is to be used accordingly. A 40 foot dock with a ladder provides easy access to the water. Steeped in history and rich in natural features, the Little Bluff Conservation Area is about a 20 minute walk from Prince Edward Bay Cottage. The conservation area is located atop a 20 metre high limestone bluff which commands a panoramic view of Prince Edward Bay and its rugged shoreline. Below the bluffs and just to the south is a unique cobblestone beach, accessible by way of a walkway and staircase. This quiet shoreline is a barrier beach, effectively protecting a small wetland from the windswept waters of Prince Edward Bay. The wetland is home to Canada geese, mallards, great blue herons, bitterns and Virginia rails as well as a host of migrating birds. The park has 1.5 km of trails within its 28 hectares (70 acres), and is ideal for cross country skiing during winter months. We maintain a fully validated Prince Edward County short term rental license which means that we are in full compliance with local government requirements.

| The Prince Edward Bay cottage is exceptionally well appointed with all of the modern amenities of home but with a rustic feeling. The view is spectacular and the surroundings tranquil and relaxing.
We have stayed at various properties across PEC but this amongst the best. It is also very central to a number of great places in the county, including PECish Baking Co.

| A place of peace and tranquility, with easy drive access to the PEC centres of Picton, Bloomfield and Wellington. This beautifully appointed log cabin home is a cosy respite on one of the most peaceful stretches of County waterfront. You might hear a boat, but you might not see it. Instead, enjoy gently lapping waves, and the rustle of the breeze through the many large trees on the property providing beautiful shade, while you sit and chill on one of the multicoloured Muskoka chairs atop a perfectly positioned deck platform for taking in the view from Half Moon Bay across to Wapoos Island. It's perfect for a couple, family or a few friends. Inside are three good sized bedrooms, and a great room kitchen/living room space comprising most of the main floor featuring a wood stove, a large fridge, a flat-top electric stove and full sets of cutlery, dishes and many kitchen essentials. Solid wifi throughout, with Alexa-operated lighting and climate control. A high-quality propane grill is steps away outside. The property offers lots of grassy space for play, and a small fire pit. A gentle walk down to the water's edge gives access to the dock for taking in beautiful sunsets. The waterline is rocky and swimming shoes are needed if you want to wade into the lake, otherwise there is direct-to-water access from the dock. We are repeat visitors and will definitely be back!

| The Prince Edward Bay cottage is found on a beautiful large piece of lakefront property with a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Gardens surrounding the cottage are attractively maintained and the cottage was absolutely spotless upon our arrival. It is a short walk on a well maintained path to the private dock where you can enjoy the view across the lake. It is possible to swim and enjoy water sports from the dock, however, you must be careful of the large rocks at the shoreline (there is no sand beach at the property). We enjoyed relaxing and reading in the large shaded areas and especially enjoyed the wonderful hammock! This cottage is a great find for dog owners as our senior fur baby was safe and throughly enjoyed his stay. The interior is tastefully decorated with the authenticity of the log home nicely preserved, and the owner has modernized with technology that is subtle and effective (eg. A/C, sound system, some lighting, etc). The beds were by far the most comfortable we have experienced in a rental cottage, with lovely linens. The A/C and large ceiling fan kept the cottage very comfortable on hot, humid days. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with all necessary amenities (note that there is no dishwasher if that is important to you). The owners were wonderful to deal with and were extremely responsive to any questions and/or issues before and during our stay. We returned home recharged and would absolutely rent this property again. Can't wait to go back to PEC!

| This was our second stay at Prince Edward Bay Cottage and we were thrilled to discover back in July that there was an open week at the end of September. Remembering how much we had enjoyed our first stay, we reached out to Jonathan and Bev to confirm it was really available....and not a mirage! With the booking confirmed, we waiting patiently for the end of September. Just as we remembered, the log cabin is warmly appointed and the location startlingly peaceful. There is very clearly pride of ownership; Jonathan & Bev have created a truly memorable place to get away from the city. We have stayed at many properties in the County over many years and Prince Edward Bay Cottage is at the top of a very short list.
