Eamonn was a great host who answered all of our questions and was always available. The cottage is clean and definitely big enough to accommodate our group of 3 families (6 adults and 6 older teens); every room had their own washroom on the main and second floors, the two bedrooms in the basement shared one washroom- excellent area for the kids to have their own space, big screen TV down there kept them busy at nights with the DVDs that came with the cottage. The privacy was much better than he even said. There isn't another cottage that's visible from the campfire.
From Eamonn and the other reviews, you'll find that getting in means driving through narrow twisty dirt roads but we still managed to tow a 20' bowrider right into the cottage driveway and launch it from there- so convenient. The drive in isn't as bad as some may have mentioned, totally doable and worth the drive in.
The campfire area in the bay also became the swimming spot for us where we spent most of the days at; anchored the boat a few feet from the rocks and swam back and forth. This bay was also an excellent fishing spot for bass; didn't need to go far for a hot fishing spot. There's a marina that's 5 minutes away for gas, live bait, ice cream and last minute items which was convenient. Great size lake also for water sports, canoeing and kayaking.
From our arrival to find all the beds made up with linens, bathrooms with fresh towels to our departure was an overall excellent time at a cottage!

This cottage is perfect for large groups. The spaces are huge and the pictures don't really do it justice. We were 4 families and everyone had a bed to themselves; kids shared rooms while the parents each had their own. All the space means everyone could have some quiet time when they needed it. At mealtimes, there were several seating options that could accommodate all 17 of us. Breakfast in the dining area off the kitchen, lunch at the tables on the deck and dinner in the huge screened-in porch. There's a nice flat grass area for the kids to run around and play volleyball. And with several entry points to the water, we could choose to swim or fish in the sun or shade any time of day. And of course beautiful sunsets on the west side. The little things make the difference and Eamonn has thought of everything. We were never short of chairs or dishes or toilet paper or?anything. This was really a perfect spot for our vacation. Thanks Eamonn.

My group and I had an unforgettable experience at Eamonn's cottage on Big Gull Lake. The property was breathtaking and well maintained. We found everything we needed and were able to easily communicate with the owner, who was both extremely accommodating and responsive. The cottage was clean, spacious, and comfortable for a group our size (15 individuals).

We had no complaints throughout our stay and look forward to making this an annual gathering!

This was our second stay at this property - and there is a reason for that. This beautiful cottage was easily able to accommodate our group of 12 (kids and adults) without us feeling like we were tripping over each other. Loads of space both inside the cottage and out, there were no problems with multiple folk in the kitchen or on the veranda and no one ever had to wait to use one of the seven bathrooms. One of the best things about this space is the privacy it affords. There are no neighbours that you see or even hear. The owner is extremely helpful and accommodating making sure that everything is prepared and clean for your stay and is quick to answer any questions you might have. This space is not to be missed! I'm looking forward to staying here again!

This cottage was absolutely amazing! We had a group of 15 girls and the cottage still felt so spacious with that many people. When we first arrived I couldn't believe how big it was, so many bedrooms and bathrooms to accomdate every person in our group. The screened in porch and large deck was where we spent a lot of our time too, both spots were amazing to hold the large group. We also used 3 different spots to access the water, all were great for swimming. Eamonn was so attentitive and made sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. He was so kind and helpful to us, answering all of our questions. This cottage is very well kept and I was very impressed, I left the cottage wanting to rebook for next year!
