| A perfect cottage experience! Everything about this place is great Our two kids had an incredible time - the property and cottage are well equipped and safe for kids. The cottage itself is spacious with three large, very nice bedroom on the second floor, a great living room and dining, room, equipped kitchen, and two bathrooms! It was very clean when we arrived and so well maintained. It's rustic with tons of character and a fascinating history, and not at all musty and worn out like so many other cottage rentals.
The property is equally impressive. Two lawns with tons of space for playing outdoor games, a large covered porch, and the water is very close. The beach is small, but the floating dock is not far and the water off the dock must be 8 ft deep because we never felt any weeds at the bottom. We spent every day on the floating dock. Water is surprisingly warm, considering how large the lake is. The lake itself is the quietest, calmest lake I've ever visited - very few boats, and not even many cottages because it's mostly crown land. Excellent fishing, perfect for canoeing and so much to explore on the lake, including a very cool beach that's about a 30-minute canoe trip from the cottage.
The Sheppards are incredible hosts and made sure our stay was perfect. I absolutely recommend this cottage and we will absolutely go again.

| Our 3 generation family loved spending 2 weeks at this cottage. Chris and Monique were very helpful and contributed to our great stay. This was our 2nd time staying at this cottage and it works well for our entire family of 12. We had someone with us that has mobility issues and it is comforting knowing that there are pull out beds and a half bath on the first floor. We didn't need to worry about stairs every day. The kids all enjoyed swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, canoeing and boating in our boat. We had a few rainy days but there was a wide variety of games and dvds supplied. The cottage is very private and there aren't many others around. A short boat ride to Grasswell Point and The Chutes.

| Our cottage stay was excellent, and the place nicer than expected. The cottage itself was beautifully laid out and supplied, and had some newer furnishings than in the photos. The living room is an old log cabin, with the den, kitchen, 2-piece bath, entrance, and dining room built in an "L" shape around it, with generous openings on both sides, making for an open-concept space. All of the mattresses were good (our King bed was pillowtop). The master bedroom has a beautiful view over the lake, including the raft and a little island our kids were able to explore and fish beyond it. Their COVID policy, provided with the rental agreement, was excellent, giving us piece of mind that the sheets and dishes were safe. Very good DVD and game selection. Full BBQ. The beach, dock, and large fire pit are located to the right of cottage, down a log stair case, at the base of the owner's property, but secluded by a long lawn, trees, and outbuildings. There were 8 wooden chairs available, and several new paddles that were appreciated in our use of the 3 canoes, 2 paddleboards, and paddleboat. My kids (skilled on the water) enjoyed going out on their own speed in the morning mist for some rare alone time in these COVID days. The property is large and secluded, and includes a nice 30 minute hike through forest. And perhaps most importantly, the owners were easy to work with, and very accomodating. We much appreciated the break from the worries of the world :)

| This cottage was immaculate when we arrived and we had a great time during our stay. The weather wasn't the best but that didn't take away from our enjoyment, much. We had a bit of a Family Reunion and the Sheppards were very friendly and helpful to us. They have a beautiful spot on the Lake with a lovely view and large, bright bedrooms. We all would recommend this place for a holiday.
