Waterfront

Newer (2003) family-oriented four bedroom, three bath, square log executive cottage / home. Located waterfront on an island that is attached to the mainland by a short causeway. It sits on spectacular, 26 km long Bob's Lake, about 40 minutes north of Kingston, 1.5 hours from Ottawa or the US border, and 3.5 hours from Toronto or Montreal. The waterfront offers deep, protected dockage in a sheltered inlet, just adjacent to the main basin of the lake (see map and photos). Excellent boating, swimming, and fishing.

House has central air conditioning for the hottest days, and a lovely, wrap-around screened porch for mosquito-free evenings. Large, newly-remodeled kitchen, with wall convection oven, glass cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, and a sky-lit solarium eating area. Excellent potable water from drilled well. Main floor laundry and central vacuum. Living room has floor-to-ceiling windows and open beams. Rounding out the main floor is a full bath, and a bedroom with a double bed. Climb the open pine stairs to the top floor and find a loft sitting area (including two twin beds) two additional bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other a double) and a 3 piece bath. Head down to the walkout lower level and find a family room with a large screen TV, a fourth bedroom with two twin beds, and another 3 piece bath.

There is a high-speed internet connection, plus a collection of movies (VHS and DVD), lots of books, as well as board games for evening or rainy day fun. Cottage landline phone provides free local and long distance calling 24/7 anywhere in Canada or USA. Easy, sturdy steps down to waterside deck and floating dock. There is a swim ladder on the dock, plus steps into the water at the shore. Cottage comes with three kayaks with paddles, boat safety kits, and life jackets. A concrete boat launch is about 5 minutes away, and additional assorted watercraft can also be rented there. Come and "make some memories" with your family!

What an amazing place. Great for a group or family gathering. Having a washroom and bedroom on each floor is an added bonus. Very clean and well maintained by the owners + staff (thanks Michelle). Kitchen appliances are modern and there's a large bbq right outside. As other reviews have mentioned, there's a set of stairs to get down to the water. They are all steady and even when wet from the rain there were no issues. The screened in porch was perfect for having a morning coffee while doing some reading, and a fire was the perfect way to end the day and do some star gazing. We'd love to be back again soon.

A spacious and well-equipped cottage for our family of 5 + extended family. Clean, comfortable rooms and a great kitchen for cooking. Screened-in porch is lovely and best spot for morning coffee. Lots for kids (5-15) to do (kayak to nearby islands, board games, fishing off dock, hike around the island++) but younger ones will need life jackets for swimming (v deep and dock-entry only). At night, great star-gazing on clear nights and cozy fires in the outdoor fire bowl. Didn't use the AC but this plus all other appliances and 3 full bathrooms made for a very comfortable stay. Relaxing cottage experience with all comforts of home. Owners and manager are thoughtful, professional and responsive.

We enjoyed our stay at Logged Off cottage. Beds are super comfy. Screened in porch is perfect place to relax. Everything was very clean and well kept. There are many steps to the deck by the water and the dock but they are solid and it was no problem for us. You can tell that the owners put a lot of heart and thought into their cottage and it was a pleasure for us to spend some time there.

What a beautiful cottage. The description and pictures are accurate- it is a lovely clean, comfortable cottage that instantly results in you feeling at home and relaxed. This cottage definitely shows pride of ownership and having a sleeping and bathroom facilities on each floor would suit all situations (kids, seniors, larger families). No "surprises" that tend to accompany many rentals. Our weather was rainy but the screened in porch allows you to feel like you are outside without actually being there. Nice deck and dock down by the water on a bay that is quiet without a ton of boat traffic. Getting to the lake involves a number of stairs, but they are well maintained and solid. We will definitely be back. It was hard to leave. Paul is very helpful and responsive and does all he can to ensure tenants are happy and have everything they need.

Lovely setting, private feeling because of well-treed lot. Spacious, clean and comfortable house with well appointed kitchen, beautiful screened in porch and great beds. Paul is very friendly, responsive and helpful. We appreciated the waterfront -- picturesque and quiet because of the narrow channel.
