| My wife and I stayed at the Mccullagh cottage for a week at the end of June and we cannot say enough good things about our vacation there.
The cottage very clean and tidy when we arrived and had everything you would need for a week of living comfortably. If you want to stay at a "house" on a lake for the week then this place is not for you. But, if you really want that true classic cottage feel then this place is perfect.
The fishing was good-very good with Bass, Pike, Walleye, and perch all caught during the week. We were never skunked anytime we got in our boat to try and catch some fish. Also the boat ramp is very close to the cottage which is nice.
The lake is very clear and pristine with all of the shoal area's clearly marked so you don't run into them while boating. There is also a great beach on Palmerston Lake which is a very short 5-10 minute drive from the cottage.
All in all our time spent at this place was fantastic and we would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
