We sincerely regret this misunderstanding. We must emphasize that we were worried, concerned for their well being. This concern was passed on to them in our e-mail. Client version of time-line and actual facts seems to be inconsistent and inaccurate. They were in fact gone all day and well into the late evening of the day. We discussed our concern for them at length and made the decision to step into the door, to see if perhaps they had decided to leave, or if in fact had met with some kind of misfortune. Side Note: At what point, as owners, do we have the right to inspect our property?There could potentially be flooding, burner left on, etc. This client seems to ignore our pledge of respect for peoples privacy. This was an exceptional situation. We have hundreds of satisfied clients, and have never had this issue before. It is our normal policy to not enter the cabin when rented unless invited to do so by clients. Again, this was, in our minds an exceptional situation. Be assured, that we do not enter and rummage through clients belongings as suggested by this client. We will certainly give consideration to all of this clients complaints, and hopefully can do better in the future.
