What a gem of a place, we were not disappointed.
The cottage is exactly as shown in the photos.
The place is well equipped and very clean. Communication with Jo-Ann was excellent.
We had a lovely quiet relaxing weekend with great fall weather.
We will be back!

We have stayed at this cottage for a week during the summer for the past couple of years. The cottage is well equipped with everything you would need. We especially like the lower deck by the lake for enjoying the view. The location in the bay is good for swimming and canoeing. The cottage itself has a good size living area and a nice sunroom. We hope to be back next year.

This cottage was excellent! It was well maintained and the view was awesome. My only complaint would be the beds are a little uncomfortable.

I've been renting cottages (Ellaway, Tobenella & Jevaco) from Jo-Ann and Brad for several years and I keep coming back year after year. They are great hosts and do improvements every year (e.g. new windows, new deck, etc) to improve the property. Their cottages are exactly what I need to recharge my batteries! At Ellaway I sleep in, have a coffee on the deck and then head down later for a swim (very clean lake). I usually barbecue something I buy in Barry's Bay (10 min drive away) and then enjoy a campfire at night. There is satellite TV which is great for days when Mother Nature won't co-operate. They are great hosts who get back quickly if you have any concerns. One time I lost the satellite signal and Brad promptly called me back with tips on how to reset it. J&B, thank you for letting my family and two poodles stay at your cottages.

What can I say about Ellaway except that we absolutely love it!. We have spent about 4 Thanksgiving weekends here and everytime it just seems to get more beautiful. The view from the kitchen window is breathtaking. Spending time down on the dock and lower deck is where most of our time is spent. My favorite space inside the cottage is the little sunroom off the living space. It's cosy and the perfect spot to have your coffee or glass of wine and read a book. The owners Brad and Jo Ann will go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for your stay. I really feel like Ellaway is our cottage (that's how much we love it)...you will hear and see the loons and have lots of chipmunks to entertain you..
Ellaway is exactly what a cottage should be..
We look forward to making many more memories at our favorite place..
Wendy, Jim and family
