This Doe Lake cottage is a family-friendly, quiet and casual summer oasis. The large, sandy beach on this property beckons anyone looking for a perfect boating, swimming and lounging experience. The property has large grassy areas that gently slope down to the waterfront, which makes it easy for young and old alike to access the waterfront from the cottage. For those who like to sleep right at the water's edge, there is a bunkie that holds bunk beds and a fridge to keep drinks cold during the hot summer days. The cottage has a full kitchen that is open to the dining area and the living room. There are two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the main floor, and a third bedroom and a half bath downstairs in the walkout basement. In spring of 2023, there will be newly installed satellite tv and internet service, along with a selection of classic board games to entertain everyone on rainy days. The circular staircase in the cottage is a fun feature, and the large deck and BBQ make outdoor dining easy. Please be aware that we allow dogs at the cottage, as long as owners pick up after them. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cats due to family allergies. We have created an information booklet with more details about the property as a whole, and the functioning of the cottage. The cottage has a kayak, a canoe, an aluminum boat with oars, and a few adult lifejackets available. Please note that any use of the watercraft, water toys, or lifejackets will be at the renters' own risk. For 2023, we will have newly installed satellite tv and internet service at the cottage. + VIEW MORE - COLLAPSE Note: The cottage is just five minutes' drive from Sprucedale, and 20 minutes north of Huntsville. The closest full grocery, pharmacy, liquor and hardware stores can be found in Burks Falls, which is about 15 minutes away from the cottage, further north on Hwy 11. NOTES Base rate applies from June 24, 2023 to September 9, 2023. Please note that we require a signed application form and contract, along with a $300 security deposit that is returnable to the renter after we have confirmed that the cottage was left in good condition. Linens, including bed linens and kitchen/bath towels, must be brought by renters as they are not provided. Each set of renters is expected to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy state, ready for the next set of renters. We do not have a cleaning company come in between renters, and as such, we rely on the renters to complete a thorough cleaning to the buildings and property before they leave.
