Very private setting on 2 acres, including a cleared, approximately 1 acre lot, surrounded by woodland on 3 sides with the ocean on the 4th side.
You will not see any other cottages from the oceanview deck.

Built in 2005 ,1000 sq. ft. chalet with cathedral ceiling and loft . Lots of natural light, all white & pine interior.
Loft has second living area and extra sleeping space on flip sofa. Pine ceiling throughout.

Living area and bedrooms with ceiling fans.

NO SATELLITE TV or INTERNET.
Includes stereo system, fridge ,stove, microwave, washing machine(new in 2015), cookware.
One piece soaker tub with shower

Suit nature lovers. Large deck facing ocean. Newly constructed screened porch facing west.
Bearshore Beach is below the cottage ,walking distance along clay road about 5 minutes. Bear river runs across the beach ,very shallow about 2 feet deep, fresh water.

References from previous landlords appreciated. Not suitable for those needing internet or TV. Appealing to those wanting quiet and sounds of nature, ocean and birdlife. rabbits (hares) in residence on grounds.

My Husband and I enjoyed two weeks of magic at Damsel Hill. The cottage is clean and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable. There is a great selection of reading material and movies for a rainy day. The beach is a two minute walk to some of the best swimming on the island. Most of all we loved the privacy and quiet...a true retreat. Thank you Gail for your hospitality. We hope to return next year.

We were so happy to make it back to this beautiful gem after two years of no travel. We loved every minute of our two-week stay. The cottage is in a perfect spot to ensure peace and quiet with amazing views of sunrise, and wonderful clear night skies free of city light pollution showing us the stars. But it's also only 15 minutes away from Souris and St. Peter's Bay where you can find great restaurants, artisan shops, and grocery stores. It's also only minutes away from the Basin Head beach and Fishing and Maritime Museum and Elvira Railway museums which are great fun to visit. But most of all the cottage is just steps from the beach which is never crowded and has some of the warmest waters we've experienced on the Island.

As always Gale was the perfect host. The cottage was immaculate on our arrival and Gale was always just a text away in case we had any questions. We feel incredibly lucky that we found this place and met our wonderful host and we hope to be back for many years to come.

This was our (my husband, my two 9-year olds and I) third trip to PEI and our first stay in Damsel Hill - we stayed two weeks. The cottage is nestled in a peaceful area with amazing views, yet only 5 minutes drive from Neufrage and 15 minutes from Souris. We loved having our morning coffee on the deck or, even better, on a little bench that offers sweeping views of the ocean, with hummingbirds fleeting about.

The beach has a small river that runs through it which makes it perfect for kids building sand castles with moats, looking for tiny fish, snails, and other treasures. The beach is never crowded and best of all it's only a couple of minutes of leisurely walk away from the cottage.

The cottage is very comfortable, perfectly clean, and lovingly maintained, with personal touches throughout that made us feel right at home. Gale is an wonderful host and she was always just a text or a phone call away in case we needed anything, including recommendations for best places to get oysters, lobster, and other goodies.

All four of us fell in love with this place and we hope to come back many times ? it was absolutely the best vacation we had in a very long time.

We loved our week at Damsel Hill! It is the perfect cottage for those looking for a quiet, peaceful get-away in a beautiful setting. Gorgeous views of the ocean including fabulous sunrises and sunsets to start and end each day, followed by a star-filled night sky. The sandy beach is just steps away and the river that goes down to the ocean is great for kids to explore, swim and play in. The cottage is cozy, clean and is a great place to relax after exploring the Island. Basin Head, Singing Sands beach and Naufrage Harbour are all close by and easy to get to. We would highly recommend this cottage and we hope to be back soon!

Vraiment un très bel endroit, autant le cottage que l'emplacement. Tellement bon de n'entendre que le son du vent et de la mer. Pour une première fois à l'Île, je n'aurais pu trouver mieux. Toutes les commodités nécessaires sont là et même plus. Endroit idéal pour déconnecter, n'ayant pas de connexion internet ni de télé, c'est bon de retrouver un rythme de vie calme et paisible.
Chose certaine, c'était ma première fois et pas la dernière. La propriétaire est très avenante et s'assure de notre bien-être.
Merci pour cette belle semaine.
