Nearby Algonquin Provincial Park provides wonderful opportunities for camping and nature exhibits and experiences. The quaint town of Eganville provides Bonnechere Caves. All in all there are many great family adventure spots in vicinity. If you wish to sample yummy cinnamon buns just head to Carl's Bakery in the local village of Chapeau on Allumette island. Chapeau also offers a new eatery, post office, bank, Tech Center, and grocery store for short runs. And only a few miles further we have night entertainment with Irish music at George's Tavern; plus mouthwatering home cooking to die for at Northfork's Country Place nestled in the foothills of the Laurentian Mts.
