What makes a Cove Dweller getaway superior to a traditional rental or timeshare? Our properties are carefully selected and uniquely situated on the shores of Bobs Lake. Nestled in the Rideau Valley, a region with many lakes, Bobs Lake is a majestic and fascinating watershed. It is famous for its many bays, islands, connecting lakes, and is renowned internationally for offering some of the world's greatest fishing. The landscape of Bobs Lake displays towering ancient white pines, granite outcrops, rocky shorelines and abundant wetland habitat. Unmistakably cottage country.

For those living an active lifestyle, Bobs Lake and area offers a wide variety of pursuits. Summer sports such as fishing, water-skiing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking are very popular in the area. There is also great shopping, golf, cycling and boating around this uniquely special body of water.

Spent a week at Tumac on a fishing vacation. Second trip to Tumac this year & we were not disappointed, the fishing on Bob's Lake is awesome. The lake is large with many bays so you can always find calm water to fish no matter what the weather. We felt at home immediately on arrival, the cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Lots of firewood for the fireplace & outdoor fire pit. Comfortable beds, lots of seating, wifi, laundry facilities, it's got everything. It's certainly perfect for a fishing trip with the guys but this is the kind of place you can bring your wife & kids & they will love it.
Going back in spring of next year. Congrats to Chris on a great place to vacation.

We recently enjoyed a week vacation at Tumac. The property was excellent on all count! Situated on a point in a tranquil bay of Bob's Lake, we had an ideal time, swimming, boating and watching the spectacular sunsets while relaxing on the dock.
The cottage is very well appointed with everything you need. There were no shortfalls with everyday essentials including kayaks and a wonderful hammock. Linens and towels are new and fresh and the decor throughout was tasteful. The cottage and grounds are very clean and well maintained.
We have vacationed in the Rideau Lakes area and this place is by far the best we have stayed at yet.
We will definitely be returning and have already booked for 2017. We can't wait!

My husband and I just spent a fabulous week at Tumac. We enjoyed the most relaxing vacation in years, communing with nature and reveling in the privacy of this location. The cottage is set among trees which offer a sense of really being "away" from it all. We canoed every day, getting to know the local fauna (including the chipmunks and squirrels, loons, ducks, and other birds, turtles, frogs, fish, and a beaver!), and enjoyed swimming in the clean and refreshing waters of Bob's Lake. The cottage is well equipped with everything one could want, the furniture and beds are comfortable, and Chris is hospitable and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Owner response:
Thank you Heidi for the wonderful review! I can't believe the summer is coming to a close, it seems like you where just here with us! It was a pleasure having yourself and Jim at Tumac Cottage and we look forward to seeing both in the seasons to come.

Cheers

Chris

Had a week's stay at Tumac in the spring and must say that it was a most memorable time. The cottage was fully equipped and the location was perfect. Chris was most helpful in getting us all set up and ready to go for the week. The fishing was exceptional all week although the weather did not always cooperate. Great cottage, excellent holiday....we will most definately be back next year!!
