|We first visited Amiscape Woods Lodge in October 2005, and fell in love with the peace and tranquility from the moment we arrived. The cottage was just what our family needed to reconnect with eachother, and has become a twice a year retreat we all look forward to (and sometimes share with friends),... 10 years running. |
The cottage is always impeccably clean, grounds well taken care of, and wood stove ready to make for a cozy evening. Nature is also always at the ready. Whether its a blue heron flying in for a visit, a nightly swim by a beaver near the shore, or ducks splashing in the bay, there are so many opportunities to watch the simple wonders of the world, and forget the real world for a while.
Caretakers for the cottage are great! They will give you a thorough tour of the cottage and clearly explain the features of the lodge, from operating the wood stove, to heating the sauna, as well as the ideas of respecting nature and conserving resources while enjoying the cottage.
If you enjoy nature, peace and quiet, you won't be disappointed.
