Living Spaces:
Upon entering the cabin, you'll enjoy the expansive views of Lake Muskoka through the floor to ceiling windows, which flood the entire house with natural light. The upper level lounge has a wood burning fireplace, dining table and TV area.
When you head downstairs, you'll enter the lower level lounge. This space is the perfect spot to cozy up on our massive sectional couch and watch Netflix on the Smart TV or play boardgames. We also have a ping pong table if you're looking to bring your competitive side out!
Dining and Kitchen:
Enjoy homemade meals on the large dining table overlooking Lake Muskoka! Our kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking essentials including:
- Instant Pot, air fryer, toaster, kettle, microwave, coffee maker
- Pots/pans
- Basic cooking needs like salt, oils and spices
- Complimentary coffee and tea
The water is also safe to drink from the tap, as we have a filtration system to purify the water and eliminate any bacteria.
Outdoor Space:
There's a large 2-level deck overlooking Lake Muskoka with luxurious amenities including:
- Gas fire table
- Wood-fired cedar barrel hottub
- BBQ
We can guarantee you that the wood fired hot tub is one of the most relaxing and spa-like experiences you will have, but it does come with some work to get the fire going and maintain the water temperature. We can promise you that it's worth it, and we're here to help every step of the way!
Underneath the decks in the backyard, guests are welcome to use: a canoe, a kayak, & an adult & kids paddle boat
Guests are welcome to bring their own boat or jet ski to use off the dock.
Note: the dock is put away in the winter season.
Bunkie:
Steps away from the lake is a cute and cozy bunkie that has a bunk bed with 1 single bed and 1 double bed. The bunkie can be warmed up using the electric fireplace.
The Raven's Nest is located in cottage country, which means that power outages can happen. Rest assured that we are equipped with a back-up generator in case the power goes out.
Accessing the Cabin:
The entire cabin, bunkie, backyard, dock and the waterfront is yours to enjoy privately!
The Raven's Nest is an all-season cabin with well maintained year around access. However, it is strongly recommended to drive a four-wheel drive due to hilly landscape. The Raven's Nest is centrally located in the heart of Muskoka, on the shores of Acton Island. The cabin has a dock atop deep waters of Lake Muskoka that is ideal for boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and etc. The Raven's Nest provides access to the most luxurious waters in the region including Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau right from the dock!
