We are looking forward to welcoming you to Kawartha lakes! Welcome to Lakeside Park Cottages Resort, we look forward to hosting you and your friends at our cottage. Our property is a family resort that consists of 9 cottages. However, this specific cottage has its own waterfront view and is separate with its own amenities. A/ C, Deck with patio set, BBQ and propane, bell fibe high speed Internet, dock with seating area, fire pit, 2 kayak's, floating geese, a paddle board, and outdoor firewood (10 wood for $10).
Our check-in is at 4pm and check out at 10am. 1 day before check-in we will provide door code and instructions to access cottage.

| The cottage itself is reasonably well appointed and maintained. It is one of 5 or 6 cottages all located within a couple hundred yards of one another and sharing a common "yard" area where there are some activities set up. During our stay, the other cottages seemed mainly to be rented to larger, younger groups for short stays. As is to be expected, they were there to party and there were some that were very loud and boisterous in the early morning hours. The proximity of these cottages to ours meant their noise interfered with our sleep. The proximity of the other cottages was not indicated in the pictures but Im sure I could have figured that out if I had spent more time researching the site.
There were numerous kayaks available but there were in various states of functionality. There were two canoes, both of which had slow leaks. There were a variety of paddles also in various states of functionality.
When we first arrived it became clear that the cleaning of the cottage was not thorough. There were bits of garbage and dirt in various corners of the kitchen and living room. The patio set and other outdoor furniture had not been cleaned at all. Most concerning, my daughter and her friend found sand in their beds, clearly indicating that the sheets had not been changed. I brought this to the attention of the rental contact who had fresh sheets brought to us.
Asked to be reimbursed the cleaning fee but rental contact would not do so.

| This has been the first time I have rented a cottage with my family. It was well worth every cent. Between how clean the cottage was, the staff wear very good and caring. They checked on us every few days to offer toilet paper or any other supplies, taking any garbage away for us. There wear rules to follow which I like, no riftraff. There wear loons calling in the lake, in the due, bull frogs and a water snake, lol my grand daughter called him Ralph, lol the campfire was beautiful, they do have some wood around. The barbaque was clean with lots of propane. I would definitely recommend this fine cottage to rent to friends, it was a great week.
