Newly built 4 season family cottage in the beautiful Gatineau Hills.
Spend a relaxing week at this newly built, squared timber cottage on a small, quiet lake 1 hr 15 mins from Ottawa. Open concept main floor with soaring 12 foot ceilings and many windows for unobstructed view of the woods and lake. Large screened-in porch to dine or relax and beautiful view from the main bedroom. Two additional bedrooms in the walk-out basement plus three single beds in the bunk-bed space next to the family room. Bathrooms on each level.
A 36 x 8' deck spans the front of the chalet with shade in the morning and mottled sunlight in the afternoon. We are often visited by hummingbirds and woodpeckers.
The cottage sits up on a hill and it is a bit of a walk down a steep slope to get to the waterfront, with a combination of trails and stairs. This may be challenging or take time for little ones or for those with mobility challenges. Once on the lake, there is a large dock to hang out on, a large floating mat to swim to and play on, 2 paddleboards, a kayak and a canoe.
There are lots of cottage roads for walking/
hiking and experiencing the fall colours.
For cyclists, there are great gravel bike routes as we are close to the Veloroute des Draveurs and the Log Drivers Waltz route comes very close to our cottage road. We've cycled a number of 20-40 km routes right from our door.
The winter is lovely with options for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and sometimes skating on the lake. We are approximately 40 mins from Mont Ste Marie and Edelweiss ski hills.
The cottage is located on a small-ish lake in a quiet cottage community. In keeping with this we are looking to rent to families and small groups of mature individuals who will respect the nature of the lake community. Noise is not tolerated beyond 11 pm. Motorized boats permitted on the lake, but there aren't very many of them (because it is a small lake) and usually they are towing groups of laughing children.
We are a dog-friendly family and your dogs are welcome (though not on the furniture, please).

There is a level 2 EV charger for electric vehicles.
