Cottage vacations can mean different things to different people. For many, it means the vibe of beach life - the sand and the shore, walks to the ice cream stand or beachfront restaurant and a place where the kids can relax and fully enjoy the surf. No doubt then, as to what you are getting here at Beach Vibes Cottage.
Located in Erieau, on the Rhondeau peninsula, Beach Vibes is available for both summer and winter cottage rentals, perfect for a family seeking a beach vacation in all seasons on a budget. The cottage itself enjoys waterfront on the bay, but the beach attraction is a 3 minute walk to extensive sand, shallow water and child friendly amenities. You'll love exploring the local area - also within walking distance is the marina, traditional eateries such as a brew house and ice cream stands.
Let's step inside and look around. The cottage is cozy but very neat, as you can see in the photos and virtual tour. The main bedroom and bathroom are on the west side of the kitchen. In the middle is a dining area and another bedroom on the east side. Heading out toward the bay is the living room, with comfy seating and a waterview, with a large TV as well if you feel the need for a movie night.
The living room leads to a nice deck on the back, complete with the requisite BBQ and seating for outdoor dining. There is a generous size lawn here for games, and a fire bowl is provided for your evening traditional campfire. The bay affords wonderful relaxing views. While there are stairs into the water from the yard, algae can build up in the bay as summer waxes on - we'd suggest heading across the street to satisfy the desire to cool off.
We've talked a little about the local area but there are other attractions in the area. Rhondeau Provincial Park is directly across the bay. The town of Blenheim is less than a 15 minute drive and will have pretty well you need for groceries (although staple goods would be readily available at the local variety store, again walking distance.
Come on and catch some vibes - life truly is a beach here!

Trivia
Some believe that Blenheim was named after Blenheim Palace in England, the ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill. However, articles written by historian Dr. Fred Landon in The News Tribune dated February 7, 1934, and historian Alvin Armstrong, both recount a party at the Samuel Brundage Inn in the early days of the settlement, at which local resident Mungo Samson gave a well-received recitation of the poem "The Battle of Blenheim" (1704). This accordingly, is where the town got its name. Blenheim had a general store by 1845; however, the town was not incorporated until 1885, some 40 years later. Following the original settlement and subsequent deforestation of the area, the ensuing fertile farmland became noted for sugar beets, tomatoes, tobacco, and corn. (Original Source - Wikipedia)
