**Welcome to Ranger Bay Retreat**

Your perfect four season cottage getaway for your family and friends or weekend getaway that offers an abundance of natural beauty to enjoy - hiking, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking and snowmobiling. The region of French River is also known for its fishing and a wide range of wild life, like moose, deer, fox, elk, pheasants and turkey

This property features beautiful flat sloped grass area with a beautiful waterfront paradise in the heart of French River on Ranger's Bay. Cottage is located on a quiet bay southwest side facing, SUN all day long. Located 3 hrs north from Toronto and 45 minutes from Sudbury.

Maximum number of occupancy is 8 including 2 kids. Max 6 adults.

Cottage amenities included:
- Internet
- Dishwasher (so the husbands can get a break)
- Heating and A/C system
- 3 bedrooms: Main Floor (1 Queen Bed with memory foam mattress) Second Floor (2-Queen beds, 1-Full bed) The one queen comes with a memory foam topper)
NOTE: we cannot supply pillows, bedding and comforters/blankets, renters will need to bring their own.
- 2 full bathrooms (one on main floor and one on the second floor)
- Kitchen is fully equipped with all of your needs like being at home: stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, Keurig machine, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, baking accessories and much more.
- Family room has plenty of seating with a Smart TV and option of syncing your Netflix, Roku or Amazon accounts

We had an excellent stay at the cottage. The place was well appointed, clean and had a wonderful view from the deck overlooking the bay to enjoy morning coffee. The backyard and dock area was great for the kids to play and swim. The owner was incredibly informative and quickly responsive. Would definitely recommend this cottage to others, you won't be disappointed!

Had our family vacation here. Was very excited at the beginning but was highly disappointed upon arrival. From other reviews I was expecting a clean cottage, but it was far from. I had to clean the cottage myself, which is a terrible way to start the week....coffee stains on the counter tops, bathrooms were both dirty, dog hair on the floors, food in the food catchers, dishes in the sink, and barely used the upstairs bathroom as it had an unbearable ordour, and dirty showers. It was also unfortunate mid week our morning peace was disrupted by a lawn company....mind you if this was communicated we wouldn't have mind. When our concerns were brought up, it was responsed with controversy and deaf ears. Definitely lacking professionalism and costumer service skills.

Its unfortunately, you felt your stay was inadequate. As I communicated over email to your party and showed you copies of the text messages received from your party..... prior to your arrival, We reached out as part of early check-in approval. We texted your party "Please feel free to reach out if any issues".
At your arrival, your party arrived and texted us ".....we're in and settled and the place looks good.....", and continued to ask about firewood on site. (Firewood was in the documentation we provided as well)
I hadn't received any further communication from your party thereafter. 2-1/2 weeks later, you emailed me. As I communicated to your party, we had an extensive cleaning done that morning and we were there for inspection before your arrival. My comment over email was that I would have been great to know at time of your arrival if anything was different. In which case we could have reviewed together to resolve immediately.
Re: Lawn Company - the welcome package provided to you 30 days prior to your stay, had information regarding the lawn company and mid-week was advised.
Further more, there were complaints of accessibility issues with the elderly people in your party with having stairs. In which, I advised, that there was a large master bedroom on the main floor. Not sure why they would be sleeping upstairs considering a massive master bedroom. The rise and run on a spiral stair case is the same as a regular stair case, only path of travel is different.
On top of your complaint for accessibility, your party brought in a 250HP low rider fishing bass boat, which would have caused accessibility issues for the older gentlemen getting in out out from the dock, but went out multiple times everyday fishing. Happy its was a great time fishing.
Then there were other issues/complaints which contradicted themselves based on information provided.
We would have been more than happy to rectify any issues that you may have had.

Fact of the matter is that the email that came from you, 2-1/2 weeks later and was laid out to purposefully hint to receiving a monetary resolution.

We had an amazing week at Ranger Bay. The cottage was a great size for 4 adults and 4 kids and the yard is immaculate. Some of the kids preferred to wear water shoes just because there's some seaweed and a squishy bottom, but they were happy and very content. If you swim a bit further out, you can float without any weeds (if you're wimpy like me).
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need and the adults had some fun playing monopoly in the evenings. We enjoyed using the kayaks as well.

We couldn't have asked for a more restful and amazing week!!

My family stayed at this cottage for May long weekend. The cottage is very clean, well equipped with all the necessities. The owner was a pleasure to interact with and was very helpful with answering any questions that we had about our booking. The place is very peaceful and located on the south side facing sun all day long. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed soaking in the sun!!!
We had a great weekend getaway and we can't wait to return in the future.
