You won't have to travel far to the beach as it's just steps away. The pebble beach transitions to sand once you're in the shallow waters. The fire pit is on the beach so grab your chairs to watch the flames dance under the starry night. This 1950's built waterfront cottage is a welcoming retreat from the hustle bustle of life. It is a charming two bedroom cottage with sleeping for six people in two double beds and a pull-out couch. The dining room floor is original and looks like a hand-painted rug. You wouldn't see that in homes today. It really is a reminder of simpler times. The kitchen, three piece bathroom and den have recently been updated. There is unlimited wifi. You'll be too busy enjoying the back deck view and private waterfront beach to worry much about a text message or two. So sit back, relax and enjoy your time at Walker Cottage. | There are pros and cons to the cottage.
Pros: The location is great, it's beach front and very convenient to access. The cottage was clean when we got there The kitchen was equipped with all what's needed The sun room has big windows so it's nice and breezy to relax The pull out couch was comfortable for my 10 year old to sleep on Cons: The 2 beds are very old and uncomfortable, being 7 months pregnant I woke up with back pains all week. No ac but the week we stayed the night were cooler so it was fine, however we had to sleep with all windows open which we weren't sure how safe that was. The furniture is old and can be upgraded to add comfort for the guess like the dinning chairs, they are very hard and sitting can be very uncomfortable The neighbors smoked directly outside the bedroom window, and being a non smoker and pregnant was upsetting to smell that in the room.

| We stayed at this cottage for one week in July 2020 and were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The cottage was a very tasteful blend of an older part away from the lake and a newer part including the kitchen and sun room facing the lake. All windows throughout the cottage were new. The cottage is situated about twenty meters from the lakeshore road, and on the other side, a new deck equipped with a gas barbecue faces Lake Erie, with a panoramic view. A few paces across the lawn takes you to stairs (about 10) leading directly onto the beach. Although the cottage is not air conditioned, the proximity to the lake, the shade from trees on the side of the cottage away from the lake, and the usual breezes off the lake meant that even on a very hot day it was comfortable and cooled off at night. We found the kitchen to be fully equipped and the WiFi fast and reliable. Neighbouring cottages are quite close but we were never disturbed by any of our neighbours. We found the cottage to be exactly as described by the property management company (Holiday Homes) and Mike and Amanda from that company to be superbly well organized and a model of customer service. We would go back to this cottage again for certain and also highly recommend Holiday Homes.
