WINTER ACTIVITIES
WOODGATE FARM
My husband and I own 200 acres of forested & open private land that is 2 kms away from the cottage. We offer free access and you can bring your dog. We have flat areas, gentle hill areas and steeper hill areas. Currently 3 kms of trails through the forest and lots of space on our gentle hill area. Our forested area is pretty steep rolling hills.
Activities at Woodgate Farm
1) Cross country skiing. (Bring your own).
2) Snowshoeing (we have lots of snowshoes we can loan you)
3) Sledding: we have sleds we can loan you.
4) Hiking our 3 kms of trails through the forest
FREE MAPLE SYRUP AND HONEY TOURS
At Woodgate Farm, we make 100% pure maple syrup and wildflower honey. We offer free tours to come see our sugar bush and how we make maple syrup. Our tours are offered all year round. At the end of the tour, we offer free tastings.
THE PROPERTY
Located on beautiful Lake Cecebe, this custom-built cottage first offered rentals in June 2020. It is professionally designed and decorated. We specialize in large families to come together and create memories. Almost every room offers beautiful views of the lake.

The 3rd bathroom is located beside the hot tub and is access from outside (toilet + sink + shower)
Enjoy your morning coffee on our large front deck overlooking the lake and scenery. Evenings are great to relax while star gazing and listening to the loons or the frogs in the nearby bay. Our extra large screened-in porch is the perfect escape and where to eat dinner in the evenings. Or dine on our lake-side patio made of Muskoka granite. Take our canoe or kayak to explore the bay and rivers that this beautiful lake has to offer. One great view after another; with 40 miles of boating (our lake is connected to 2 more lakes and 2 rivers)
DRINKING WATER
Our cottage plumbing draw water from the lake. For most people this water is fine to drink. However, we provide multiple jugs of local spring water and more local spring water is available for free in 3 nearby locations.
NOISE CONCERNS
This is a family cottage and we don't want noise complaints. Guests need to be considerate of our neighbours and refrain from loud outdoor music, dogs barking, or inappropriate/rowdy behaviour. Our quiet hours are: 11pm - 9am. This property is not suitable for parties or rowdy groups. It is suitable for families with children. If we receive a noise complaint about your group, then YOUR SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED
NO TRESPASSING ON NEIGHBOURS' PROPERTY OR WATER TOYS
We have had problems with past guests' using our neighbours water trampoline, without permission. Also their dogs going onto neighbours property etc. THIS IS TRESPASSING AND NOT PERMITTED
ACCESS
Renters will be provided the code for each building. I will provide you a Welcome Tour upon your arrival.
WHAT TO BRING

CANCELLATION POLICY
* If you cancel 30 days or more before your check-in date, you will receive a full refund minus a $100 cancellation fee.
* If you cancel with less than 30 days remaining to your check-in date, you will forfeit all payments made up until that point.
HEATING
*The main cottage has in-floor heating and a wood-stove.
*The Games Room has a propane heater & wood-stove
GUESTLIST
You will be required to provide the owner a full and comprehensive list of everyone in your group.
PETS
We only permit dogs (no little puppies who are still chewing)
Most rentals charge a $100 pet fee per pet. We do not. However, we do have some rules
1) No dogs on furniture and clean up dog waste outside
3) Keep barking to a minimum
4) Do not allow your dog on our neighbour?s property, ever
5) If your dog leaves a lot of hair, please use the vacuum and clean up the dog hair.
If any of these rules are not followed, then we will charge a $200 extra cleaning fee.

1) Complete & sign the rental contract (after 1st payment). If you wish to read over the rental contract before you book, we would be happy to email it to you for your review.
2) Provide a photo of their driver's license

| Pictures dont do justice on how beautiful Sandra and Bill's cottage is. The cottage was spotless when arrived. The kitchen has everything you need. And the space.. oh my.. we were a group of 16 people (8 adults and 8 kids) and we didnt feel cramped. The scenery is relaxing and peaceful. The kids also had a blast. They enjoyed the "mini cottage", which is the gazebo. The entry to the lake is perfect for small kids, sandy and gradual. Sandra and Bill are friendly and accommodating. My toddler needed a night light and Sandra brought two asap. I rate this experience a 10/10! Thank you again Sandra and Bill! We hope to see you next year.

| I dont typically leave too many reviews good or bad. However Sandra was a pleasure to deal with and made the process of reserving and checking in super straight forward and simple.
The cottage was absolutely as advertised and more.
The cottage itself was super clean, organized with everything from the lights to the TV remotes labelled for ease of use.
The game room (garage) was fantastic with stereo and TV to have going while playing pool or darts.
I stayed a many properties over the years and this certainly ranks among the best.

| My husband has a large-ish family and it can be difficult for us to get together around the holidays. This year, we decided to do something different and rent a cottage and spend more time together.
I can say that Cedar Bay cottage worked so well for us. It gave us the space we needed for the entire family to hang out, a large table for meals and a place for the adults to hang out (when the kids were sleeping) at night. Awesome view of the lake, beautiful property, quiet road, amazing hot tub and sauna. We made some great memories at Cedar Bay and would absolutely recommend it for a large gathering. The hosts were amazing as well, when we arrived they called us to walk through some things we needed to know, anything else was well documented in their welcome binder.

We hosted our family Christmas at Cedar Bay cottage and it was absolutely perfect. We have a large family and the cottage accomodated all of us, plus dogs.

| This is the one!!!!! Beautiful property very quiet and very well laid out. Theres a perfect spot for everyone in our group from kids to oldies. The house itself is amazing?. Clean and new.. fire pot overlooking the dock, lots of fish in the lake?. Exceeds expectations by far.
Sandra is an amazing host and I have to mention the cleaners did a wonderful job preparing the place for us. Will definitely consider coming back

| This review was long due. We rented Sandra's cottage, the Victoria long weekend. We were a group of 17 adults and two children. The cottage was a much needed getaway that we all needed after a two year hiatus(thanks to the pandemic). The cottage was immaculately clean, the sleeping arrangements were very very comfortable, the view from the cottage was breathtaking, the games room being separate worked great for us , with the kids fast asleep in the main cottage. The list is endless. Three days was too short a time to experience this gem of a place. Last but not the least ,Sandra was an amazing host and patiently answered all our questions, from the time we enquired about the property until we checked out. We will definitely be renting this place again.
