Falcon Narrows Cottage is just 5 minutes from the convenience of Huntsville's amenities, making a canoe paddle or kayak from the cottage to the finger docks in downtown Huntsville an easy outing. This family-oriented cottage has a shallow entry to the water, with a slim, hard-packed sandy waterfront. The dock is able to accommodate an 18ft boat.
This four-level, split cottage contains four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main entrance for the cottage is off an inviting, lakeside deck with a Weber BBQ.
A well-outfitted, modern kitchen complete with dishwasher and seating for eight is on the 3rd level facing the lake. The combined dining and living area with WIFI, a Samsung TV boasting 24 channels, and a DVD player, has comfortable seating and a great view of the water through large south-facing windows. A bathroom, complete with tub and shower and two bedrooms with single over single bunks are off the main living area. The 4th level bedrooms have air-conditioned comfort, from a stand-up A/
C unit, for when the heat of summer hits. On this landing there are two bedrooms, a master bedroom having a queen bed and a view of the water and a second bedroom with a forest view that contains a single over single bunk bed and a queen bed.
Just a few steps down from the main level is a family room complete with a Smart TV, cozy gas fireplace, seating for eight and lots of shelves filled with great summer reads for your enjoyment. A lakeside door leading outside from the family room brings you to a small deck with Muskoka chairs and a relaxing water view.
The lower level, a few steps down from the family room, has a games room retreat for kids and adults alike, complete with a foosball table and comfortable seating for three - great for a rainy day. A lovely newly renovated bathroom, with an oversized, tiled shower completes the lower level floor.
From the level, grassy, lakeside lawn, there is an expansive view of Vernon Narrows. A waters' edge fire pit, a newly built boardwalk on the opposite bank, and varied boat traffic blends with the quiet hum of vehicles passing over the nearby bridge.
Family adventure abounds in all directions from this cottage. It's a short 10-minute drive to Arrowhead Provincial Park and approximately 25 minutes to the entrance of Algonquin Provincial Park.
**Check-in: after 4:00pm and Check-out: before 10:00am
**Vacationer supplies their own linens: Sheets and pillowcases + Inside towels, kitchen towels and beach towels. Please inquire about other arrangements.
**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.
**Vacationers must bring their own adult life jackets, as well as children's life jackets due to safety and liability concerns.
