Welcome to Kathleen's Kottage which is a fully renovated, four season, two bedroom cosy retreat and was new to the cottage rental market for 2018. The deck overlooks beautiful Lake Erie near the Wheatley Harbour. Lawn chairs are provided so that you may take in the scenic view. This is an ideal place to swim, sunbathe, kayak, read a book and just relax. Fresh fish (including perch and pickerel) and seasonal vegetable stands are abundant in the area. A BBQ is provided but if you wish to try the local cuisine, there is a variety of restaurants to choose from in the area. Take in the many wineries, hike, bike, fish, golf or take a stroll. Spend your evenings at the lakeside firepit, enjoying a drink and relax under the stars. The master bedroom faces the lake and provides the calming sound of the waves which will lull you to sleep as your cares fade away. Visit Point Pelee National Park (witness the annual migration of birds and monarch butterflies), Jack Miner's Bird Sanctuary, Colasanti's Tropical Gardens (full of tropical plants, birds and animals, an indoor mini golf course, kids' rides, an arcade and restaurant), Wheatley Provincial Park, Two Creeks Conservation area, Kopegaron Woods, Hillman Marsh Conservation area, Seacliff Park or Rondeau Park (40 minute drive). There is a daily ferry service to Pelee Island. This area boasts many golf courses including Talbot Trail Golf Course in Wheatley and Erie Shores Golf Course in Leamington. For some excitement take in go-carting in Leamington. Travel to Windsor (40 minute drive) for some shopping or enjoy a two-hour boat cruise on the Detroit River. Try your luck at Caesar's Windsor or take in a show or a concert. Then head back to Kathleen's Kottage for some relaxation. Our hosts, Patricia and Randy met us promptly and gave a short, thorough tour of the property and cottage. Very polite and inviting, thank you.
Our family of 3 and our dog were very lucky to use this space for a week. Super quiet neighbours, the most beautiful sunrises, fantastic water and a well thought out and updated cottage, we appreciate it all and will gladly come back.

| We just got back from our second stay this year at this wonderful cottage....and everything from our review of June 2021 holds true...turns out the only thing better then a stay at Kathleens Cottage...is knowing your going to stay again....it has everything you need...is very clean and the ambience of the cottage itself is relaxing....and soothing....the view of the Lake is amazing...and the moon over it at night breathtaking... the views alone are worth the price of admission! We arose to late in the day in June so the sun was already up....but this visit..man oh man the beauty of the sunrises we saw! Again although there is tons to do and see nearby we choose to stay and relax....and that we did! The T..V. was never turned on and barely spent a few minutes online as well, again Randy and Patricia are awesome hosts, friendly, helpful and go the extra mile..thank you both again! We look forward to our next visit to this little piece of Heaven on earth!!

| This was a cute and cozy cottage with a fantastic view of the lake, lots of privacy and just about the nicest hosts one could expect. We had a lovely time exploring the area, dining at local eateries and enjoying the quiet relaxing atmosphere...Great vacation spot!

| This was our second time renting Kathleen's Kottage with our family, and this stay was just as wonderful as the first. There were a few upgrades, including a new fire pit with seating and a Keurig, which were lovely touches. It is so nice when you can tell that the owners take pride in their property and truly want you to enjoy your stay. Patricia and Randy were very easy to communicate with, and were available but not intrusive. The setting is so peaceful, and the surroundings are full of fun options for the whole family. It was the highlight of our summer!

| A perfect piece of paradise!
Kathleen's Kottage is the most charming, thoughtfully decorated and fully equipped vacation spot one could imagine. The setting and view of the lake indoors or out is fabulous. We tried a bit of everything during our week there including several local eateries (who knew there was so much great food in Wheatley!), the conservation areas, Leamington, Kingsville and a day trip to Amherstburg. Local wineries were a treat too. But the real star of our stay was just sitting by the lake and relaxing. We had a hard time leaving and will gladly return.
