| My family stayed for a long weekend right at the start of October. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owners and showed around the cottage. The cottage is beautiful and the view couldn't be better. The kitchen had everything you could need, and I was so thrilled to see the dishwasher! Although the weather was drizzly and cold we still enjoyed our getaway immensely. Our children made friends with the chipmunks who would visit often. Our girls couldn't resist going into the lake for a very short swim. Brrrrr, brave girls! The lake was calm and quiet, perfect for a paddle in the canoe. Our nephew caught his first ever fish off the dock, and then caught a second a couple of minutes later. He was thrilled! We made a day trip to the nearby sculpture forest which was really neat and also went to the Haliburton wolf centre which was also great. We loved it so much, and cannot wait for next summer so we can stay for a whole week! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

| This cottage exceeded our expectations!
We are a family of 4 with 2 children and there was so much to keep the kids entertained.
On the outside, we enjoyed the beach with clean and child safe water. We (the adults) spent a lot of time on the spacious dock soaking up the sun and having our morning coffee. The fishing is incredible with large fish waiting to be caught right off the dock!
At night, the fire pit is the ultimate relaxation with the sounds of the loons.
On the inside, this is an A1 cottage. It is very clean, spacious with no musty smells. The kitchen is large and has all the necessities.
The cottage overall is very private, comfortable, and less than 10 mins to Halliburton.
Whether you are a family with children, or just a couple looking for a quiet getaway, I highly recommend staying here.
Nancy/Mike, we really enjoyed our stay.

| We had a wonderful two week stay here - the cottage is clean, bright and brand new, and has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. Black Lake is quiet and peaceful and perfect for children - nice shallow entry to the water and a safe space to try out canoes and kayaks!

| Our family of 4 adults and 2 children really enjoyed our stay at The Haliburton Hideaway. This is a wonderful and safe cottage for families with small kids. The cottage itself is clean, roomy and well appointed. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need. The second bathroom was a definite bonus as was the ability to do laundry. We had many special moments interacting with the local wildlife. We all agreed that we would definitely like to spend another vacation here. Thank you, Mike and Nancy for sharing your lovely cottage with us.

| Our family of 5 had a great time at this cottage. The cottage was perfect! The rooms were big, the cottage was clean, and the main room with the window overlooking the lake was lovely. Mike and Nancy were there to greet us. The cottage was well equipped and the lake, trampoline and floaty raft were a hit with the kids. The water was perfect for swimming in!
