What a beautiful cottage on Father's point. A true kept secret. We especially loved the old cottage feel and screened porch. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The sunrise and sunsets were incredible. We will definitely be back.

Owner response:
Thank you Marie, and thank you for taking such great care of our cottage. We are glad you enjoyed your time and it was so nice chatting with you. Happy to have you back any time and look forward to hearing from you again.

Typically we rented a different cottage each summer, exploring different lakes and towns. That ended when we came across Father's Point Retreat three years ago. It is frankly the most comfortable and beautiful cottage and we are happy to return here each year. The cottage has heritage status for being in the same family for generations and carries with it a special feeling of a treasured place. We are very grateful to the owners for making it available for outsiders to come and stay and have their spirits refreshed. With ample sleeping room it has become a summer gathering place for our extended family. For some it is the quiet sunrise and early morning fishing from the dock on the quiet bay, for others it is the screen porch right on the point which makes even the dullest, wettest, stormiest day still a special cottage day. And for the late risers, the sunset can be viewed from the lake side of the point. A well laid out kitchen/dining area makes it easy to prepare and share meals. We bring our own canoe and make use of the cottage kayak to explore the many bays and islands in the Mississippi. A few maintenance concerns have been heeded and improvements promptly made. My only hesitation in writing this review is the fear that its popularity will increase, and for a while it's felt like a secret treasure.

Owner response:
Thanks Deborah
We feel lucky to be able to share the cottage with you and your family, and we appreciate the care and appreciation that you have extended to this heritage cottage. We are so grateful that we have had such great experiences with renters like you and your family that we are able to continue renting the cottage, keeping the cottage traditions alive.
Thanks again for appreciating this little gem as much as we do :)
